It would be NICE for him to have the house clean...my husband did that and I was SOOOOO greatful. Make sure he has the infant car seat in the car the night before so he doesn't forget it. If you don't have her take home outfit with you he can bring that. You are also going to want him to bring you some sanitary napkins that you prefer rather than the ones from the hospital. If you had a C-Section have him get a spot ready for you either in the living room or your bedroom so that you can come home and instantly be comfortable. Or if you had a natural delivery he might want to make sure he has some tucks pads in your bathroom (they REALLY help)

Congrats on the new baby, good luck!!

Have him wash all the clothes he can so you'll always have clean clothes if she spits up (this includes bibs, socks, blankets, towels and wash cloths for when you give her her bath). Prepare the changing table with diapers, diaper cream and wipes. Make sure her bassinet or crib has a clean sheet on it.

Also, I don't know if your parents or his (or whoever you're living with) smoke, but DO NOT let them. I know this is common sense and I'm sure you're a very smart girl, but a lot of parents think it's OK to smoke around babies ("I smoked after I had you and you were fine...") Our parents generation did a lot of things that are considered taboo today when it comes to babies. The smoking thing is especially true since your baby was premature.

Make sure (if you're formula feeding) that you have plenty of formula on hand. It's not fun to run out of formula in the middle of the night when you have a screaming, hungry baby on your hands. :)

Speaking of formula, you could have him wash and sterilize the bottles and get them ready.

Hmm...what else. Honestly, when babies are that tiny, there really isn't much to do. They spend a good part of the day sleeping. All you really have to do is feed them, change their diaper, and generally they're back off to sleep. :) Just remember to rest when the baby does.

You will need the following for you and the baby:
1. a place for the baby to sleep set up, a basinet is better for the first few months.
2. have some onesies and sleepers in a easy to reach place, because your little one will need them
3. make sure you have some pads because you will bleed for several days.
4. try to have someone bring in meals to you for the first few days. You and the baby are going to be tired and you need your rest.
5. If you not breastfeeding make sure to have plenty of bottles and formula available. If you are breastfeeding make sure you have breast pads and a bobby pillow or a step stool for your feet.

Good luck and enjoy your new bundle of joy. They get so big so quick.

Blankets, diapers, burping rag, obviously a crib. He also need to make you a place where you can sit with the baby because you are going to be tired. But don't lay with the baby, or you will run the risk of falling asleep and rolling on top of her.You are going to need to buy a baby ear and nose cleaning kit and most importantly kkep her dry.

If you are bottle feeding, have bottles ready in the frig.....Have lots of diapers on hand and plenty of love for the little one.....Have fun with her, they grow up so fast!!!!!!! Have the carseat strapped into the car, they'll send a nurse out to make sure it's in tight enough......Have him fix something for you to eat, too......And have plenty of pads in the house, you'll need em......

a place to put the baby, like a crib or something. closer to your bedroom is better so you can get to the baby quickly at night.
