Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 August 2007

He is 40, I am 33, I have a 6 year old from my last marriage, we have been dating for almost a year, this will be his first baby, we both have nice jobs, our own houses and careers, and we were trying to get pregnant. He is very happy I am pregnant and he wants to move into my house and try to have a family, he didn't ask me to marry him and he never talks about money. I probably spent more money in this relationship than he did, I make a little more money than he does, but a baby is a big responsibility and I need help to be able to give the baby everything he deserves, he makes money too he is just sooo tight; he really doesn't ever buy me anything nice or tries to spoil me. He mentions moving to my house and renting out his; but he doesn't tell me he will pay for anything, should I just ask him straight? Or just leave him? I think he should know better that he has to pay for things. He really wants this baby, what should I do?

if i had sex on aug. 1, and my period was due aug. 3 (28 day cycle) but im usually a few days to a week late for my period, does this make my chance of pregnancy high, or low?

I am 35 weeks and over the last two days, the baby's movements have drastically slowed down. My doctor said I would notice less because the baby was running out of room but I didn't think it would be quite so much.

I got worried and did the test where you drink cold water and lay down for two hours and hope for 10 kicks. I felt 14 "movements" though most were barely noticeable and very mild. I guess that still counts -?

Just wondering if this sounds normal and if everyone else experiences this...

my wife just received her hcg results back from the lab and she was told they were were high 145,00 hcg we think that she is at least 7 weeks pregnant? are these numbers normal or are they High like the lab said?

i am 15 weeks pregnant tommorow, i am only like 100 pounds and i am 5 foot. but is my uterus sopose to be popping out this much, when i lay down i can feel it well, and its only like 4 fingers below my belly button, does that sound ok?

My one month old baby will nurse and completly empty my breast and then a few moments later act like she is starving. I know she is getting enough because she has plenty of wet and soiled diapers and she is gaining weight. However it seems she is not getting satisfied, I know she likes to suckle so I try to giver her a pacifier but she is not intrested. Has anyone had this experience? I am drinking plenty of water and eating very healthy I also drink fenugreek tea to help with lacation. Last night I was up until 6am nursing around the clock and she would fall asleep then wake up a few moments later screaming. I am taking her to the Doctor next week just wanted to know if any Moms out there had something similar and what did you do. Thanks!!

I am 18 ill be 19 next month and my boyfriend will be 20 in oct.we have been dating for 2 years and moved in with each other about 3 months ago.i am 3.5 mnths pregand found out in June.we are both working multiple jobs to save our money for our baby and were both going to college in the fall.he is in the military(got medically dropped in jan but going back nxt june)both of our families know and a lot of our friends.i am amazed by the support they have given us.i was on bc AND we used condoms(i play sports and model so we wanted to be extra safe).its kind of like God wanted us to have a kid.i know it s a sin to have sex befor marriage but my bf and i have talked about marriage before and we do still plan to get married.we didnt plan to have children for about 5 more years(after i got my teaching degree,which i am still going to do and he was back from serving our country).are we doing the right thing by keeping our baby instead of giving it up for adoption?

How many people were given terrifying results of the their level three screenings and the baby came out healthy?

This happened to my husband and me. We were told that our baby would come out with Down Syndrome or Cystic Fibrosis and yet our baby is normal. Not only this, they told us (at the hospital) that our baby failed his hearing test. Yet a yr later is as healthy as can be.

My co-workers and I were having this conversation and one went the a very similar experience and the others knew of people who wetn through similar expereinces. So, if there are more people out there who got scared to death because they offered you "abortion" because they determined that your baby will have a birth defect? If so, shouldn't they stop doing the level three screening? It caused me more stress and heartache during my pregnancy - FOR NOTHING!

My child has club foot and we have this special metal brace with shoes attached for my child and I was wondering if there was some place online where parents trade shoes or sell them for lesser money than retail....my child has outgrown his and I'd gladly trade/sell his old shoes for ones that are his size now....if there is a site that does offers this beacuse the shoes cost over 100 dollars and i know he will keep outgrowing them and I'll keep having to get newer ones later on.

So does anyone know of a site or anything similar that might help.....thanks in advance

I had morning sickness from about week 8 and on. It was worst during the morning. About a week ago, my nausea went away. I started feeling hungry again and could eat. Well, on Thursday of this week, I suddenly started getting nausea again. But it only hits at lunch time. I can eat breakfast and dinner just fine, but no matter what I eat for lunch, I get sick and throw up. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm a bit concerned. Thanks.

my 16 month old has issues with speaking and i am need advice. He is 16 months old and rarely says anything , he only says 1 word at a time, like mama, dada, ball,.., .He wont put words together and i think its time. He needs to form senteneces. I have sessions with him everyday for 3 hours . I make him sit and i make him repeat words that i sa and if he dont ,we sit til he does. After the sessions he just runs around and plays and dont even pa attention to what i said. He acts like he didnt even learn anyhting. Im woundering if he is going to have learning issues in school. like maybe be in the slow learning class?? i dont want that, my gosh , how can i helkp him more?
