I read an article on this and it said green tea was not safe but I also heard that it is good for you. Any info is appreciated.

I was told in minimal amounts green tea is alright (2 cups a day max!) by my doctor. This was because of caffeine content and the fact that further along in the pregnancy it can cause your uterus to contract. It's very healthy for you when you aren't pregnant however!
I would avoid it unless you crave it and stick to ginger or chamomile tea :)

I'm pretty sure it won't cause contractions but I know that if you are drinking tea is must be decaffinated because caffeine is not good for your baby. If you are concerned, contact your doctor and see what he/she thinks. In general, green tea is good for you, not sure about when you're pregnant.

No it doesnt cause contractions, not that ive ever heard or read. It does contain caffeine though, which is bad during pregnancy.
