Pregnancy & Parenting - 25 February 2007

I just took a home pregnancy test, and it came back positive, well kinda, there were two pink lines; one faint one dark; it was a first responce...i was woundering if anyone knew if something you eat or drink could make a pregnancy test come out positive? Or if you had sex like a week or two ago! My hunny was saying that he thought that he thought that it could be just the egg dropped but the sperm and egg met too late, and that is y it came back positive!?!? What do you think? please help?!?!

i named my newest child jacoby after the lead singer of papa roach jacoby dickson. i have now been told by people i am being cruel casue he doesnt have his own identitey. he suits the name and i like it so does my other children even though they wanted to call him papa roach. what am i meant to do.

for the past 4-5 days i've been having almost a constant headache.. i've felt sick to my stomach and nauseous.. i have this horrible taste in my mouth that hasn't gone away for about 3 days now and sometimes it makes me feel like vomiting. my temperature earlier this afternoon was a 99.3 and it was normal a few days ago.. i've been really moody and snapped at a few people in the last couple days.. i took a hpt on the 21st and it was negative.. i'm waiting to take another one but i'm not sure when to. so do these sound like pregnancy symptoms or maybe some kind of bug??? any advice would be great!

I was suppose to start my period around 2/15 and it is 2/25. Should I be concerned? I have been very stressed lately and I have been experiencing some bad headaches. I am also recovering from like a stomach virus? At least I think a stomach virus. My symptons are fatique, nausea, and of course a late period. Should I wait a little bit longer and see if the symptons start to disappear?

I have a 6 month old son, and in about 3 months or so, we will be moving to california, and we'll be driving. Can anyone suggest things that will make the trip easier? Also, in the middle of april i will be flying to alabama with my son in lap, 12 hour trip to get there. Same thing, anyone have advice?

I am 38 weeks pregnant and something weird that didnt happen with my first is going on. As a person orgasms i have heard the ability to urinate is turned off (if not true let me know) but quite a few times when i orgasm lately i gush what i am guessing is urine. Has anyone ever experienced this or should i be seen about it?

I have had unprotected sex throughout the whole month, and more so on the days i was ovulating. My last period was January 31, and i have been expecting my period since feb 21. I have been feeling like i am about to get my period since Feb 18, i have had cramps but i usually dont get them until i start my period. The cramps are in the front of my uterus not on the sides, and i always get cramps on the sides, never in the front, but this time its in the front. I have also had lower back pain and i have been feeling really fatigue as well as VERY swollen and tender breats and i have also been feeling very emotional. I took a test sat morning and it came back negative. What do you guys think? Do you think im pregnant? Oh and morning sickness does not run in the family so i doubt that would be a sign.

What not to eat while pregant, deli meat? I never knew that and recently i heard someone say not to eat liver because of the vitiman A in it? How are we supose to know everything that we can not eat now?

I dont want to do anything that would hurt my baby but how am i supose to know do they make a list of these foods somewhere.?

I am 35 weeks pregnant.. i take care of my 16 week year old niece a lot. There isnt a day i dont see her and have her. I babysit her everyweekend and everything. Well she likes it when i walk around with her, with her facing forward and she bounces on my tummy. I will do it for about an hour. Will this effect my baby or me or hurt either of us in any way?>?


Another question. I dont know if i dropped yet. I know hes definitly head down. But people say , oh well if ur boobs dont touch your tummy then u know you have, well unfortunatly for me, they havent grown @ all and they have never touched my stomache, how else can i tell?

I had an ultrasound done at 19w5d I was very eager to find out the sex for a number of reasons (most importantly I have a sick relative who is in her final days and I really wanted her to know before she goes) a previous u/s at 17w showed a small something between the legs but it was to soon to tell, we were convinced it was a boy along with everyone else around me. This last one the tech said "if I had to say based on what I see today I say girl but I won't guarantee that" I accept whatever we are having boy or girl but we were so convinced that it was a boy I had myself so amped up for a boy that I was a little disappointed is there a chance at this stage in pregnancy to not be able to tell for sure. The baby was in the perfect position to see what it was how can she not be sure???

She's 10 months old. Her usual bedtime is anywhere between 7 and 8:30 pm. I don't have problems with her (usually), I give her a big bottle of warm formula, we cuddle, I rock her a little bit, I put her in her crib, turn on her musical "aquarium" and give her her bunny... and she'll go to sleep byherself.
Now, I've noticed that if we go out in the afternoon, and come back about 30 min. before her bedtime, even if I do the same routine, she won't go to sleep. Is this because she's got an "adrenaline rush"? In other words, because the day was different and there was more action, she won't go to sleep?
How do I get her to go to sleep tonight? We went out and came back at 7:45, I did everything we do each night, and she just wails when I put her in her crib... Right now my husband is watching her, but I don't want her to go to sleep too late...
What can I do, and how do I prevent this from happening again?

I am a mother of 3 yr old triplets and 17 mo. and they do NOT listen to me at all, they listen to their dad more tham me . It takes for me to yell and spank them in order for them to listen for maybe 10 mins than back to raising hell. I tried everything .... someone please help i'm going crazy

I had asked before about drug testing at Obgyn offices when you are pregnant, my sister in law used drugs during both of her pregnancys and nothing has happened to her, she didnt even attempt to quit. But looking threw questions i saw someone asked "At what point in my Ob visits will they do they mandatory drug test" and everyone seemed to answer like that was how it worked, if this is so why didnt she get caught? does it differ from state to state? The post i think was from Texas and we live in Michigan

My husband and I tried concieving on feb.14 , which was the day I should have been ovulating. About 4 days later on feb. 18 I had some light bleeding only when I wiped it was a light pink color ( it only happend once) Can this be implantation bleeding? Or is 4 days to soon . I know wasnt my period . If its not implatation bleeding what can it be. And its to soon to take a pregnancy test.
We've been trying to concieve for about 5 months and this has never happend. Has this ever happen to anyone?

okay im 15 and i wanna be put on birth control. no not cause im having sex but to regulate the pain stabbing cramps i get while im on the rag. how do i talk to my mom about it? and not make it seem like i want to be put on it cause im having sex?
and does birthcontrol make your boobs bigger, cause thats what my friends told me.
