You can ask your mom to take you to the doctor about your bad cramps. Although, I am not really sure that BC effects cramping, it mainly regulates your flow and time of month that you have your period. Most doctors will suggest using Birth Control to help this out, that way you don't even have to bring it up to your mom...the doctor will do it for you!

Also, I am 26 and I have been on different types of BC, so have most of my female friends. They do not make your boobs bigger. Some types can make you gain weight and that will make your boobs bigger...along with everything else. Usually you just gain about 10 lbs, nothing major.

I am not a doctor and you should definitely talk to one about what type of BC is best for you. You can also be confidential with your doctor and tell them what your real concerns are without worrying about the Dr. telling your mom.

If your mom knows that your cramps are strong and painful, then she won't think that it's just for sex. Just talk to her about it and see if she'll take you to a clinic or some place to talk with a counselor about the different kinds of birth control methods.

Everyone is different and some people gain lots of weight and some gain little. Your boobs get bigger only if you gain weight or aren't completely done developing.

I hope I helped!

Hey I'm 22 and I'v been taking birthcontrol since I was 15 . I used it to regulate my period. I think you should start by telling your parents about how bad the pain is and have them take you to an obgyn if not your regular physician . Then ask them if birthcontrol can really help you with that problem if so then im sure your parents wouldnt have a problem with it. And about it making your boobs big well that depends on the person , it doent always work out that way. Mine stayed the same. Hope this helps you out =)

I totally understand what you're going thru. When I started mine, I was in 6th grade and so embarrassed when I was on my period. Mine were so heavy that I would use an entire pack of pads for just one period. I had cramps really bad too. Sometimes I would have to stay home from school due to my period. I'd lay in bed all day in pain and the second I got up to use the bathroom, I would bleed thru my pad onto my pants. It was horrible. And even after I started having sex and all, I would use the super tampons and still use half the box for one period. I would be so pale when it was that time of the month that I'd look like a walking zombie. O geez. I can just remember how awful it was.

Try to talk with your mom and maybe it will help if she saw what people wrote about this. She should understand.

Tell your mom that you are having severe cramps and that you would like to talk to a doctor about it. If you can have open conversations with your mom, tell her what your thoughts are, and that you are not interested in having sex, but are tired of the cramps.

It is possible that you may have other problems that are causing the cramps, but the doctor will give you the best solution for reducing them. And it probably will be birth control, it helped with my cramps.

But if you think your mom may have issues with you being on birth control that you can not handle, then you may want to tell your mom, that you are old enough you want to talk to the doctor privately first, and then he can talk to your mom.

Or ask that she remains outside during your exam and talk to him during that time about birth control if you feel like the conversation would be better coming from the doctor.

As for birth contol making your boobs bigger (I WISH) they don't, what helps me is an exercise routine to build the muscles behind using 6 lbs weights and drinking 2 glasses of 2% milk a day.

Birth control does not make your boobs bigger. If your scared by it, ask your dr. if and when you go for a low hormonal birth control pill, like orthotricyclen. And to answer your question about how to tell your mom, first off, hopefully she trust you enough to know you don't want it because your having sex or want to have sex and hopefully your relationship with her is good enough to where she knows that. But in other cases, just straight up tell her you want a regular period and want your cramps to go away. If your straight up about it, more than likely she'll understand. Plus, since your under 18, your mom will have to be in the room for part of the exam, probably not the actual exam, but for most of it and she'll know when the dr. asks if your sexually active, if not he will tell your mom anyways because like I said, your under 18.

If BC made your boobs bigger, I would continue to take it! LOL. No, it does not. But in some cases it does cause subtle weight gain. It all depends on the person and her metabolism of course.

BC used to help my cramping during that time of the month and it decreased my blood loss and clotting as well. I wouldn't reccommend getting on BC too early in life as I truly believe long term use causes certain cancers. You can do searches and read up on it, but none of this has been proven.

I not sure about the boob thing, but I think if you approach your mom honestly and explain what the real reason is that you want to be put on the pill, she should support you. Also, suggest going to the doctor to get his/her opinion and also she he/she can answer any questions you or your mom may have. That might show your mom that you're sincere and responsible. (You can also ask the doc about the boob thing.) I will tell you that different birth control pills affect different people differently.

Tell her what you told us. If I had known how "great" my periods could be from using birth control when I was 15, I would have seriously considered it. Be completely honest and open with her. You might even want to tell her that you'd like to think you could go to her if you DID decide to become sexually active. I didn't experience any breast growth when on the pill. From what I've read, weight gain is more of something women tell themselves, not something that actually happens. Best wishes!
