You can eat deli meat but it has to be packaged not the stuff that you get at the deli it self. You just have to cook it or heat it up before eating it. I am 15 weeks pregnant and I still eat lunch meat and my baby is fine. Just heat it up. Good luck

you should only eat deli meat if you have heated it up to steaming ( you can let it cool off again). It's because deli meat is more likely to make you sick from food poisoning.

On the other hand my favorite place to eat while pregnant was Subway. It's just a matter of knowing if what you are eating was cooked and handled properly

Deli Meat: Deli meats have been known to be contaminated with Listeria, which can cause miscarriage. Listeria has the ability to cross the placenta and may infect the baby leading to infection or blood poisoning, which may be life-threatening. If you are pregnant and you are considering eating deli meats, make certain that you reheat the meat until it is steaming

Deli meats can have a bacteria on them that can make you sick, It is called Listeriosis. You can have deli meats just cook them first. I used to eat fried ham sandwiches all the time! This bacteria is rare but I still avoid deli meats that aren't heated up first.

Unborn babies are at high risk of Listeria which may be found in cold Ready to Eat meats that have been mishandled. Not just typical "deli meats" - don't forget bologna, hot dogs.etc. Meat should be re-heated to 165F to ensure safety.
