who believes in baby names? if so whats your fav. meaning?

The people I rent from gave their 10 mo old 1.6mg of infant ty. I know that's too much. What should I do? 1.6mg is the amt to give a 2-3 yr old.

I thought of this when chatting with someone whose baby has acid reflux.

I know these days, the trend is "back to sleep" -- babies should be put to bed on their backs because it supposedly reduces the risk of SIDS (even though it can, at times, create a flattened back of the skull instead!)

My question is: what if a baby has reflux and spits up a lot? Should she still be put to sleep on her back while she's still too young to roll over and change positions? When I was a baby, I spit up a lot, including in my sleep. Due to the fact that I sometimes awoke with a pool of vomit next to me (GROSS but true!), wouldn't you agree that babies like myself should be put to sleep on their sides or tummies? Otherwise, they'd likely inhale and/or choke on their own vomit!! :O :[

Back in the 1970s, when I was born, I don't think there was any "campaign", one way or the other, about baby sleeping positions. But I'm sure glad my mom put me on my side and/or tummy! :)

My son just turned 5 years old this past January. He flaps his arms throughout the day. It was normally when watching tv but now it is even when he receives a positive answer to a question he asks. (As well as standing on his tippy toes) Between anything he is doing he takes short breaks (about 1/2 minute) in between to skip sideways back and forth in the room on his tippy toes.. as well as a very faint grunts during this. Nathaniel is EXTREMELY smart. I taught him to write letters and he learned the whole alphabet that week, to perfection. Although, he does not know how to yet read or spell out words he does spell the family's names. His recent thing is now spelling them backwards after the right way off the top of his head which I even have trouble doing. He is 100% over the chart for both growth and weight(slim fit though) and although was delayed and unosocial as a child he no longer is. I have an appointment May 3rd but would love any input :) Thank YOU!-*Pedi. was never concerned

Okay I am going to ask a question and ya might think it's stupid but I am curious. Well I want to go get my fertility tested and I was wondering what all they do to test it? and what kind of procedures do they perform? DO they have to do any kind of paps? and the second thing. My mom, my grandma, and my great grandma ALL had period bleeding while pregnant with clots and everything. My mom could never get a + blood test until she was 6 months along and the urine tests wouldn't come up until 7 months. Is there any way in heck that I could get myself checked to see if I would have these problems also?? I really wanna know if when I get pregnant if I am going to have to deal with the bleeding and the negative tests!! I wanna be able to get prenatal care right away and ask no question. Can anyone give me any info on this?? Thank you!!

How many weeks? My Auntie says 9 months is the right time, my mom says 10 months. My mom was 40 weeks pregnant when she went into labour with all three of her kids, while my auntie was 36 weeks with her first, and 38 with her second.

since I've been sitting here I got a really strange metallic taste in my mouth, I checked to see if my mouth was bleeding or anything since blood can taste metallic like, but no blood. What do you guys think? ( I'm due to start the 22nd of Feb)

when i get my period i have lot of pain and nothing works
i tried all kind of pain reliefes like midol or ibuprofeen and lots of other thing
the pain is so bad that i can't even stand up and i have it for at least four hours then finally i throw up and that's how it ends
then pain come back again and really don't know what to do
i don't wanna take birth contorol because i'm ttc
and my doctor told me just take over counter pain relieves but they don't work for me
how can i get rid of this pain
i'm about loosing my job because every time i get it at work
i have to leave the job and call relatives to take me home

My 1 year old has had a fever over 102 for 2 days... no ear infection, throat infection or urine infection per the MD. Any thoughts? I have been doing the usual cooling methods, tylenol and Motrin... any other recommendations?? Thanks in advance!!

For a guy, I think you girls are lucky that they're the ones that produce the baby within their body when all guys do is delivor a single tad pole like spirm. It's like the baby and all the generations that add to the world is a physical extension of the body. For a guy: am so jelious about that. It's like the women is the Thomas Edison who made the light bulb while the guys is like his assistent who only provided the raw materials. All you lucky mothers out their with your proud beautiful children, I'm not sure how you feel about this, but if I produced a breautiful baby, it would be oragasmic for me see it everyday. What do you think?

I have crazy dreams every once in a while, the kind that you can't stop thinking about all day. They all usually include certain elements: something wrong with the government (pandemics, terrorism, killer robots), the house of my friend and the barn where i board my horse, people i havn't seen in a while, my close freinds, and some guy (it changes). Could these dreams mean anything about me or the future?

I had unprotected sex December 23, January 16, January 23 and Feburary 2nd and I think I am pregnant. I didn't have my period in January. I don't know which time exactly I would have conceived.. im having an ultrasound tomorrow and i was wondering if you can eat before it? i have to start to drink 1L of water in 30 mins 2 hours before it which is between11:30am - 12pm (the appointment is at 1:30pm). am i allowed to eat something?
