Hi...I'm 15 weeks along and was in the shower when I ran my finger over a shallow crater-like welt on my leg (don't know how else to describe it). There are no pustules, no bruising, I'm not feverish, and it doesn't bother me physically at all, which is why I'm not at the doctor saying this. Anyway, if it is a bite, it's about the size of an index finger print. Should I be concerned with this? Thanks so much for your help!

I was thinking about this...
It might just be chance... If your first word was Daddy, do you like your dad more than your mom?

My first word was balls.

I'm very perverted and get horny easily. I'm quite weird and get turned on by something as simple as dirt...

This child is my nephew and is also throwing screaming temper tantrums. He also very particular and seems distant and doesn't respond when greeted and spoken to. He also tends to be somewhat aggressive when playing with our children. Could it be ADHD?

I am 34 weeks pregnant & it feels like my baby is always on my right side. Well Lately for the best couple days, about 5 inches above my belly button and to the right has been soooo sore! not even a little bit but reallly bad. It hurts to sneeze it hurts to cough, it reallly hurts to try to get up and to touch it with the gentliest touch. Why is this!? its driving me nutss and i can't even take it anymore.

Another question i have is.. I have always had bad back pain.. Well i today i had a horrrible back pain really reallly low, and it came all the way around to the front of me and to my thighs. And the pain was in the lower back for probablyy 45 minutes and went away. It feels like its about to come back though... im not sure.

And last question.. Its getting so hard to bend over to get stuff or anything like thaat, ive always carried low, but do you think my baby has went head down?

I am due in June with my third child. My middle child and the new baby will be 23 months apart in age. How hard will it be to nurse the new baby and take care of my toddler? Anyone else have any experiences they could tell me about? I am debating on bottle feeding, and yes I know breastfeeding is #1. Thanks!

Mine started by saying, "bah" and now he says, "da da da" all the time. I'm still waiting for him to say, "mama."

What were the first distinct syllables that your baby said?

My docter told me to do whatever it takes to put me in labor on friday. He suggested many of things like, blue cohosh, caster oil, stripping my own membrains, SEX, we all know what got us here.
I dont want to take anything in to my system that can effect me nor my unborn child. so what i need to know is how can i strip my membrains, or my husband can do it for me???

If you're thin, can you notice early on in pregnancy (like 8 weeks maybe) that your lower abdomen is getting a little firmer? Also, would you notice a bump any sooner? Not noticeable to anyone else, just you...like due to bloating or anything else?

i have a wonderful daughter that is almost 15 months old, she has had some trouble since she was born, reflux, gaining weight because she was allergic to her formula, we finally got her back on track with that, it took her awhile to crawl, i wanted her to be walking at her 1 year birthday party but it didnt happen, she is almost 15 months, and everyone is always asking me"is she walking yet", and make comments like she should be walking by now, her doctor doesnt seem concernced, she can stand now, hold on to the furtniture and get around, i am just worried that i should be doing something or talking 2 a doctor, is this normal for a 15 month old girl??

I am very stressed about this! I have been spotting the past 6 days or so and the past two days of my spotting has turned bright dark red and pours out when i go pee and soaks the toilet paper when i wipe, however if i just sitting here ect it does not come out ill wear a panty liner and throughout the whole day only a tiny drop gets onto the liner other than that it stays inside my vagina....this bleeding is alot heavier than just spotting now but not like my usual period due to the fact that nothing is coming out excetpt for when i pee...i have never hd this befor i am taking progesterone cream if that has anything to do with it, befor hand i didnt have a period for over a year so my doc put me on provera 10mg for 7 days to see if it would induce a period and it did...also just today i passed only 2 clots one the size of a quarter and the other a little bigger than a quarter.. hubby and i are trying to conceive..please any advice would be appreciated...thanks

She's 9 months old. She's teething so I gave her medicine, I gave her a bottle, she wouldn't even finish it... she just wanted to slide off my lap, and go to the floor, but once she's there, she'll start whinning...
She always goes to bed around 8 pm (the latest is 9) It's 10:30!!!! and she's still up! My mother in law is trying to rock her, but she just wants to play... I really don't know what to do, I can't just put her in her crib and "let her cry" because we live with my mother in law and the crying won't let her sleep...
I think this has something to do with the fact that my husband took the baby out at 6 pm, and I thought it would be ok for her to come back at around 8 pm, and she'd drink her bottle and go to bed, but it didn't turn out like that... I put her in bed at 9, she started fussing, my husband took her out of the crib, and she's been up and fussing ever since...
Note: her diaper is clean, she has no fever...

HELP, PLEASE!!!

my 1 month old baby was constantly vomiting after feedings for a week. i took her to an emergency room where we waited well after midnight though there didnt seem to be anyone else there. i told the doctor she had kept some food down within 2 days before our visit but now was throwing everything up. i asked if the could check for a stomach virus and threw in the idea of pyloric stenosis. the doctor ordered blood tests for dehydration. since she had been keeping some stuff down at this time she wasn't dehydrated YET. she was diagnosed with nausea and told to feed her less, less often. took her home, tried this, didn't work. I took her to the hospital in the city we live in and the first thing they did was an ultrasound for pyloric stenosis! it was positive and we had to rush to the childrens hospital for her to have surgery on her stomach. i feel the first hospital was being lazy and that if i (a 20 yr old mom of 2) knew what was wrong the doctors shouldv'e figured it out. could i sue?

"The Higher Power of Lucky" by Susan Patron is a book aimed at the ages 9-12 years, as the author indicates. The opening page talks about a little girl (the story heroine) who hears a story about a snake biting a dog on his "scrotum."
I am not one to "over-shelter" my children and I can appreciate that it is in fact an anatomically correct word. However, my feeling is that a Newbury Medal Award winner could have come up with a word or phrase that is a little less controversial - for lack of a better word.
True, 9-12 year olds (especially boys) should know what a scrotum is, but does it belong in children's literature? Certainly children younger than ages 9-12 will have numerous opportunities to hear and/or read this book.
It would in fact be a much appreciated word in a book of biology or anatomy targeted for that age group.
Appearing in children's literature, though, do you think it is appropriate, sneaky and blind-sided or somewhere in between?

She is "pudgy" but our pediatrician says her growth is more than baby fat and that we should get her a bra. However, her older sister (age 11) hates bras and refuses to wear any sort of bra, cami, etc. None of her friends wears a bra either. But she needs one more than any of them, including her older sister. How can I handle this without making her feel like a freak?
