The best time to have intercourse that can result in a pregnancy is 16-12 days before the first day of your next period.
Your period will begin about 14 days after you ovulate (egg is released from ovary).
It can take sperm 1-2 days to make the trip to reach the egg. The egg must be fertilized quickly after ovulation.
So if you begin trying 16 days before you expect your period, that would be the best time.
However, all bodies are different and may not always be regular.
I dont know the effects of alcohol on conception, but it has very damaging effects on an embryo within the first two weeks following fertilization, the time when you dont know whether or not you are pregnant because you havent missed a period yet.

The best time to conceive is when you are ovulating...If you dont know when that is and have a normal 28 day cycle its probably around day 14...of course everyone is different...but that is a rough estimate....you can also use an ovulation prediction kit to see when you do ovulate....and alcohol should not hinder the chances of conception! My husband was a little looped when I conceived number 3 LOL Good Luck!

If you don't learn better english your child is going to be hurting....it's not slang that you're speaking and you aren't text messaging. alcahol is spelt alcohol and conciev'n is just lazy....otherwise, 7 days from the end of the period of 14 from the beginning is the best time. also, alcohol can hinder the chances and if youre trying to conceive you shouldnt be drinking because the beginning is when the babys brain starts forming. take some folic acid and dont drink...

anytime is a good time. Too much whiskey may put little "willey" to sleep so then you will have to push "willey" in with your finger. But if your mate is on the ugly side, then by no means do not stop drinking.
