Pregnancy & Parenting - 30 January 2007

I am 29wks pregnant and i am so happy about this baby.
My baby comes first , but i haven't lost sight of the fact that i am still a person. Sometimes i think my fiance has.

He is so ecstatic about this child, he has wanted one for so long however, along the way, i sometimes think he forgets i am an actual "person" and not JUST the person carrying our child. EVERYTHING is about baby - which is all fine and good except he forgets ME in the equation. I feel like nothing more than a glorified baby-carrier at times. It's like, i cease to be me - especially since i'm showing so much and baby is so active. Everything is focussed on the baby - right down to the sex - its always about how this could be affecting baby and is baby ok with it etc - i want to scream sometimes! I love this baby too but I AM STILL A PERSON WHO EXISTS FOR MORE PURPOSES THAN TO CARRY THIS CHILD!

Can ANYONE relate? We've always had such a wonderful relationship, what can i do to make him see i'm still "me"?

I just recently found out that I was pregnant. Up until that point I have been cleaning out the litter box daily (do to the fact that my boyfriend claims he will vomit if he has to do so). Is it very harmful? I know that it should be avoided.

My fiance and I are in the process of finding a home to rent. I've been looking for over a month and the only places that will take a pet (which he has a year old dog) are $400 more a month than the ones that say no pets plus a $300 non refundable deposit. We are paying for own wedding and are expecting a baby in July. I feel the best thing to do is to find his dog another family and move into one of the cheaper but just as nice places that say no pets but he would rather keep the dog and pay more. If you were in my fiance or my postion what would you do?

My 16 months old daughter is hyper on everything. Even when she is sleeping, turning and tossing around. She can never sit still, not even for 20 seconds. Lately, she like to drive me over my edge and I really don't know how to tell her since everything that I said she would never look or listen to me. Anybody can help?

My period came about 2 weeks early and i had no clotting and it was like i was spotting....i was having stabbing pains in my side and mild pains in my back, my lower stomach is getting bigger and its also tighting up and getting hard....i took a pregnancy test and it was negitive....is it to early to tell why it came up negitive? should i wait and take another pregnancy test, or go to my doctor?

I have twin daughters that are 3 mths old?( Yes, I know they are individuals and no I dont refer to them as the twins at home.) Anyway, they sleep together in a bassinet. If they arent together by 8 pm Jaden will fuss and cry until you put Jessie in with her and vice versa. Right now its easier for me and it gives them comfort. Should I continue letting them do this? Can their be any health risks involved in letting them stay together? Like when they are old enough to grab and pull? Id like to keep letting them as long as they are happy.

I had my first doc appt today,,,My doctor brought in the heartbeat doppler thingy but she never used it on me..she actually gave me an us the same day today which is my very first appt...pap smear,us everything looked good..my baby measured 14 weeks...isnt it weird she didnt listen to the heartbeat now? will she the next appt? i asked her what the heartbeat was on us and she said prob around 140 its too hard to tell right now...has this happened to anyone else?

I am 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant, and I've been having mild cramping for the past week and a half. However, last night the cramping worsened.

Before anyone says "go see your doctor", I have an appointment next week, and they can't see me any sooner (there's nothing they can do since it is really early in the pregnancy).

Here's my question: Is it normal to have mild to severe cramping for almost 2 weeks? And if so, about how long should I expect it to last?
