Yes it can. You need to try to keep your stress levels down b/c the baby can sense it. If you get stressed too much, it can cause preterm labor. Good luck with your pregnancy. :)

Stress can cause high blood pressure and/or depression. high blood pressure or depression may have an effect on your health.
Sometimes medicine is needed to keep mom healthy. When the mother is healthy it improves the chances of having a healthy baby. It is unlikely that this stress would cause birth defects. There are some studies that associate severe stress with an increased risk for miscarriage, preterm delivery, and low birth weight. However, these adverse outcomes may
be due to other things that the person may be doing to relieve the stress such as smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol and abusing drugs.
For now, it is unknown if stress itself increases
the risk for adverse pregnancy outcomes.

Yes, stress definitely affects your baby. When you are stressed out your body releases the stress hormone- catacolamine(sp?). It floods your system and can get to your baby as well.

There is increasing evidence that moms who experience a stressful pregnancy their babies are more likely to have colic and develop ADD or ADHD later in life.

There are a lot of things you can do to lower the stress levels in your life. Start by analyzing the source of your stress and cut those things out as much as possible. Taking prenatal exercises classes like swimming or yoga can help, too. Regular massage does wonder in reducing stress. Besides helping you relax, massage releases endorphins- the body's "feel good" hormone that counteracts the stress hormone.
If money is an issue you can just go for walks, and join a pregnant moms group in your area. being able to talk with other moms who are going through the same things can be very helpful, as well.
Good Luck!

Stress can affect your baby no matter how early or far along. There has been new reasearch that shows that children whose mother experienced high levels of stress during pregnancy can actually have learning difficulties later on in life or even a slightly lower IQ. If you are experiencing stress at the moment talk with your doctor to discuss the best ways to deal with it. Surround yourself with people that care about you, understand your need to keep stress levels low and will help you to sort through any problems you are experiencing. Try to get decent sleep, try a lavender sachet under your pillow or a nice bath before bed to relax you. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and veg as part of a balanced diet, plenty of water and try to get some exrcise, perhaps just short walks from time to time. Good luck. Look after yourself and your baby. I hope you are able to sort through any problems you are experiencing and enjoy a happy healthy pregnancy.

anybody has rigidity and that's genuinely kinda healthy to have a splash bit rigidity and no it won't harm the infant. I even have rigidity over a 2 year previous, expenses, my husband, chores, money, street rage and fixing to go and might rigidity 30 hours together as i'm pregnant. No problems right here. record genuinely mentioned that rigidity is stable and may be healthy...the conventional dosage of rigidity...that's typical issues and what you many times bypass via. in case you start up having panic assaults over under pressure issues then in line with threat see your record on what to do, yet different than which you're able to be stable to bypass.

Oh yea... stress can make you miscarry.

[QUOTE]Stress during pregnancy can cause excessive fatigue, anxiety, loss of appetite or overeating, headaches and backaches, and can disrupt sleep. If intense stress persists for a long period of time, it can lower your resistance to infections, cause high blood pressure, heart disease, preeclampsia, and preterm labor. In babies, stress is thought to cause low birth weight, emotional and gastrointestinal problems, and may be a cause of colic.[QUOTE]
