what will happen to a baby if the father smokes weed?

Most likely nothing. My husband did when I got pregnant and my kids are perfect. My OBGYN said that all it really does is lower his sperm count to make your chances of getting pregnant less.

Here's the thing I'm pretty sure that if child support was filed they would make him pay it from when the child was born, meaning he would owe you back money for that, they only let the father get to a certain amount that they owe and if it accrues to to much that hasn't been payed his butt will get thrown in jail, just look at it from that perspective. The only way for you to not have to deal with him is if you get married and your boyfriend/husband to adopt your child, but this would mean that the birth father would have to sign over his rights, which I doubt he's going to do. You need to find a lawyer who works with these cases & hire him. I'm sure if you have evidence that the biological father is unfit then they will not grant him anything but visitation with supervision meaning someone will have to be appointed to be there when the biological father sees the child, and that's if he's even granted that access. I suggest talking with a lawyer find out what your rights are, and what his are, and simply put make him look bad, it's the only way for him to lose the case (there will probably be a hearing), he's not going to want to sign over custody to your now boyfriend/husband. Good luck & best of luck!

nothing. What the father smokes has nothing to do with the development with the baby. As long as the mother isn't doing any drugs.

youve got to be retarded.
its the mom that you would have to worry about.
the dad has nothing to do with how the baby develops.
if the mom smokes.
the most likely thing thatll be wrong is
low birth weight..
but anything could cause that.

The child may have an odd name and cool taste in music, but that's about it.
