Pregnancy & Parenting - 13 January 2007

I guess the question pretty much says it all. I am financially stable, have adopted before and am government approved to do so again. I just don't agree with the agency fees and legal fees that are so high. In Alberta, I could finalize the private adoption, through the courts myself. I have to have all the same documents and clearances. I would rather take that 15K-35K and invest it for the childs future education. If anyone knows of a good resource, someone who may be making an adoption plan or is considering it themselves, please let me know. I am hoping for an open adoption, but will do closed too. My baby is almost 14 mths old and she still nurses. It used to be fine but now it is very painful because of the cracked nipples. They are cracked so bad that they are red and shedding dry skin. What should I do?

I put my twin girls (9 months old) in their own seperate cribs. Sometime's I put them in the same crib. My husband thinks we should always put them in the same crib. I think we should put them in different cribs. I don't think it matter's either way, but he thinks they will be closer as they grow up if they sleep in the same crib. Any opinions?

I know I just asked something similar to this but I wandered off the point in the additional details. Basically what I would like to know is, in your opinion, do you think when you have a child their needs come first and do you think most people today ask themselves, "How would this affect my child?" before doing something?

My sister just had a c-section on 1/10/07. She has had nothing but problems since then and I can't seem to find any useful information for her. If anyone knows anything that might help clear the air, we would definitely appreciate it.
Heres the story. c-section after over 24 hours induction (pitocin, break the water, etc). Baby is fine and perfect now, but my sister is totally swollen from her belly down. She keeps running a low fever. They don't know why. Had x-rays done to find out why she was so swollen in her belly. "Everything looks fine." She also had to have a blood transfusion once now and there is talk of another one.
She is so confused and so annoyed because they keep telling her go to the bathroom, but she isn't allowed food. Walk around to help recover, but stay off your feet because you are swollen. You can go home tomorrow, and then...we will be putting in a catheter tonight (so obviously the home thing is out).
Anyone have any insight to this at all????

I'm having my second child, and this was one of the names that I was considering for my first born, but everyone was telling me that it would be cruel to name them that. And I had a boy, so I named him Braedyn. But now I'm having a girl, and the other names I come up with (Cara Arabella Amelia and Brooke Lynn Hannah) just don't seem to stick with me the way this one does.

Do you think it is a nice name, or just mean to name a baby that?

My baby is one year old ( 12 months and 2 weeks) , he still not able to drink from cup and he hates sippy ( i tried so many sippler , but none of them worked ) and he not at all good in self feeding yet , how do i train him , im really worrying abt this . and my son he never pay attention when i read book to him , is there any trick for it ? and it will be great if somebody could suggest how to teach wording at this stage .. my friend told me that she didnt know that she was pregnant until she was 5 months.she said that she found out 1 day when she thought she had a stomach flew and then she went to the doctor and they told her she was 5 months pregnant. she said she had no signs of being pregnant until she threw up 1 day. she said she had her period and all.now she is almost 8 months pregnant.

my husband and i had sex last night. He accidentally and prematurely ejaculates but was able to do it outside my vagina. His semen dripped on the shaft of his member. And he stick his member inside of me again. me and my boyfriend have been having un protected sex for over a year now and havent gotten preg. but about a month r so ago he gave me some chips late at night and i threw them up I never threw up those kind before then about a week after that we were arguing and i was in tears and previously had some eggs and threw those up is it because i was upset .. but my period usually lasts for 4 days this time it lasted for 2 days and it came about 4 or 5 days early which it never does ive been hungry lately ...alot and cant stop eating but never feeling full but i dont think im pregnant could i be... plus he has a low sperm count but i was told you could be pregnant and still have a period is this true?

Hi, I'm going to be 10 week pregnant in 2 days but I been having trouble eating. I get hungry and my stomach hurts but when I think about eating I really don't want to eat anything. Because I need to eat i get something to eat but I can never finish the food and plus my stomach hurts a lot. Sometimes after I want to throw up if i smell food after I eat. I don't know if this is normal but I have no apetite. Does anybody been thru this too??? This is my first baby, Well I 've had two miscarriges before but I never felt this way. Sometimes after eating my stomach also gets bloated. I have my doctors appointment in two week but I don't know if I should worry or if it is normal. This happens around the same time like in lunch time, but I really don't enjoy lunch time anymore.

they don't always put them first? Every decision I make is based upon how it would affect my children, my ex on the other hand, I don't know what's going through his head. He's so hurtful towards my son, so negative, so neglectful. They were out and about today and they didn't stop for my son to use the bathroom so he had an accident. My ex informs me of this tonight and orders me to bring over a change of clothes for him or he's going to send him (our son) out in the the cold (where we are at it's 40 degrees) in shorts. He tells me it will be my fault when he's sick because I refused to bring clothes over for him to change into. It's true though, I don't send clothes over but it's only because he never returns the spares and I can't afford to replace what he doesn't feel like giving back. If I did send clothes eventually my son would have nothing to where to school. The worst is he has a washer and dryer so he could just wash the clothes for him (our son) to wear.

Ok, here is the story. I thought i was pregnant. I had brown discharge that started the day before my period. That lasted for about three days. That night I took a pregnancy test and it showed a positive. Not extremely faint but not strong either. It showed up right away. I went to bed. I woke up, went to the bathroom, and felt like something was pouring out of me. I wiped and it was bright red blood. It's continued throughout the day. I also had bad cramping when it happened. Now I'm not sure becuase I took Pamprin. I still have bright red blood although it's not heavy like a normal period is for me or completely clotty. So, still pregnant or miscarriage?

I did take two more tests but the Answer ones, and not the Walgreens Early Pregnancy Detection Tests. They were both negative. Also, my bleeding, although not becoming heavier or lighter, is starting to include some clots. Small ones, not many, but they are starting to appear. The pain became so bad I took Pamprin and was ok.

I'm 26 and she is 15 and is also pregnant after we had sex because the condom broke.. I also know that she is underage and feel bad about that too. I just really don't want the responsibility of having a baby, but I will help in anyway she wants me to and be there for her. Is there a way for me not to go to jail? Because her dad is MAD.. and I know he is polishing his gun at this point.. Is there a way to talk him out of pressing charges?


And to tell the truth I did talk her into having sex.. and had sex with her for sheer fun and did not think of what could happen.. I mean she is a very pretty girl.. Should I marry her so I don't go to jail?

We have been trying to concieve for a few months now. My cycles are anywhere from 25-30 days but usually 25. My boobs hurt and tingle and feel heavy. I had cramps for 2 days and thought i was going to start but now the cramps are gone. should I take a test now or would it be to early?And is that the way boobs feel when you are pregnant?
