I have an 11 month old son now, but during most of my pregnancy, I felt exactly like that and worse. I was so sick for the first half that I lost 15 pounds and my Dr. told me that if I continued to lose, I would have to check into the hospital to get some IV hydration and nutrients for the baby. Finally at about month 5, I stopped losing, and kind of plataued for a good month. Then sometime in month 7 I started gaining, and on the day I delivered, I weighed in at exactly the weight my dr said I needed to reach. And that was a week and a half over due!
Pretty much none of the advice people gave me helped. My mom said to drink some water and eat a few crackers before climbing out of bed in the morning, but then I just threw the crackers up. Some others said to eat only bland things, and some said to eat a lot of carbs. Neither suggestion helped.
What did help me the most is when someone told me to just follow my cravings, don't pick something else because it's healthier. If you crave nothing but ice cream for a whole day, just eat the ice cream, because it's likely that hte next day you won't want anything but peas and carrots anyway. Usually, what I was craving stayed down. I ate a ton of cole slaw, sauerkraut, beef stew from Cracker Barrel, oranges, lemons (yep, whole lemons), and cereal.
It will get better as the weeks go by, and pretty soon you'll probably be busy trying to watch your weight.
Congratulations and Good Luck!

Yes, it's absolutely normal, especially in the first trimester. It's common for some women to be a lot hungrier during pregnancy, and for some not to be hungry at all. All the hormones in your body trigger these kind of reactions. Also, some foods sound heavenly, some foods make you want to run straight to the toilet! As for myself, I'm not usually hungry in the morning, when before breakfast was my favorite meal, and, like you, sometimes after eating, I am repulsed by the idea of food. It might help that instead of eating 3 regular meals, to eat small meals throughout the day, that way you can get the calories you need without getting full so easily. They say it normally subsides around the second trimester, so hopefully it'll be gone for you pretty soon! Good luck to you!

Sounds normal, morning sickness affects people differently. The most important thing, is when you eat, eat the right stuff. You don't have to eat a lot, I found during my second pregnancy that I ate very small amounts, but more often, if you force your self to eat, you will feel sick, but if you take a couple of mouth fulls every hour, you probably wont even notice. It is also very common in pregnant women not to be able eat anything that they have smelt prior, My partner used to have to cook for us while I was out of the house some nights because I couldn't stand the smell of the food, and it would put me off eating it. of course check it with your midwife or doctor just in case though.

Unfortunately, it is completely normal. The joys of being pregnant. Usually the first couple of months you won't feel like eating too much, and smells or sight of food may make you sick. I was sick for 5 months during my pregnancy, it sucked. I actually lost weight in the beginning. But you will eventually get over it and be able to eat without getting sick :) I would take vitamins if I were you, just to make sure that the baby is getting enough nutrients since you are not eating too well. Goodluck :)

You are still very early in your pregnancy. This will start going away soon. Probably around 16 weeks....then you appetite will turn ravenous! Try and eat several small meals during the day. Your baby depends on your good diet. If it doesn't stop soon I would talk to your doctor about what is going on. Good Luck and enjoy this special time in your life.

this is pretty common. you probably have a touch of morning sickness. even if you don't feel like throwing up. you could try a little antacid, like tums, to see if it helps. you should talk to your doctor about this, and if necessary, call him to talk before your appointment. in the meantime, try to make every bite count. eat anything that you can get down, even if it doesn't really sound good. sometimes ice cream can work. if you are barely eating, you need to make what you do eat have some calories. take a prenatal vitamin if you can, maybe try something like flintstones vitamins if you can't. you could try protein bars, or nutrition drinks, although if i were nauseous, i don't think i could get either one of those down. drink lots of fluids, and some of them should have calories, like juices and milk. watch your weight. if you lose more than say four pounds, you should call your doctor. good luck, and i hope you feel better.

If you're stomach is hurting you need to call your doctor, they will want to know, and they can offer you suggestions to help you out, thats what they are there for! I have children and trust me, your doctor will be your best friend for these 9 months, never be afraid to call a lot! I did, and they are used to it, in fact they expect it! They would rather you call! And yes, nausea is common, as well as indigestion and heart burn, but you definitely need to call if you are experiencing stomach pain, cramps, etc. Your doctor will also ask you questions to help figure out what it could be...if nothing else they will ease your mind by giving you an answer that is correct, as internet users sometimes answer questions for a pastime and for points and don't always know what they are talking about, sweetie! Good luck! :~)

I think it's normal. As a mother of two kids, I was violently nauseous for both, the ENTIRE time.
Maybe you could try small things for now, until you get your appetite back. Like crackers and cheese, or a sandwich? If it's to the point where you haven't eaten in days, or can't keep anything down, I'd call your doctor.

appropriate element that worked for me is end result, vegetables. I continually ate approximately 3 or 4 crackers earlier I even have been given away from mattress and it appeared to calm the ailment down alot. ward off meals that have a reliable scent until finally you get used to the greater suitable experience of scent. cling in there a pair of greater weeks honey, it wont be as undesirable, I promise. As for the melancholy, concentration on the toddler showers, toddler names, and toddler stuff you will get (backyard sales are stunning!). that's a blessing, not a curse.. think of of all of the constructive and stay removed from the destructive strategies. Oh, one greater element, I hate ingesting water, yet while i exchange into pregnant I enjoyed ingesting it, it exchange into healthful and made me not experience as hungry! Congrats

You need to eat about 2,000 - 2,500 so calories a day for your baby. Even if you don't feel like eating, you need to eat for your baby. You should eat about 6 small meals a day. You can eat saltine crackers as that should help settle your stomach. Make sure you drink lots of water too.
