Pregnancy & Parenting - 10 January 2007

so...im pretty sure im pregnant but i dont know what to do. I am 20 years old and i just moved to a new country..i dont have a job and a load of student loans and credit card bills to pay back.so im worried that what if i keep the baby, theres no way to support it cause i just dont have the money. secondly..if i had the baby, id have to stay here cause of the guy im with.. and i dont want to stay in this country but i want to go back home...and i simply cant afford not working , not at this time...
this is the worst possible time to do get pregnant and i was stupid.. and i dont know what to do...:(((

Specifically if you stopped the pill around the time of your period, and were active during ovulation time. Will the hormones of the pill affect ovulation?

My friend and his girlfriend are going to have a child in a couple of months. I am going to give her a dozen of clothe diapers for a gift. She said that she was not going to use disposable diapers on her offspring. So I took that as the idea of what to get her. Indian cotton clothe diapers. But my question is, why is it only women are allowed at baby showers? I know most men would not even want to go, but most does not mean all. Is it because women talk a bunch of crap about us when we are not there and they will be in a a large pack. So who knows? But it's not like they don't do that anyways. So, why are men not allowed at baby showers?

*note* in case you haven't caught on, I am a male

My ob says my little girl is fine. The heartbeat is within normal range and the ultrasound was perfect. I feel like I am never going to show. I know everyone's body is different but how many other people have been this late in the pregnancy and still have not shown?? BTW, I am 5'8" and athletic and I have only gained 4 pounds...:) Thanks everyone...

My cycle is one day late. I'm concerned by this because this is something that never occurs. I'm cramping just like I cramp when it's on. But that's it, I have know preg. symptoms or anything. I'm starting to get a little scared, one the baby's father and I are not together and I'm just kind of nervous. I don't have children so this would be my first any advice? Should I be worried, if this is not a normal thing for me.

My 19 month old daughter loves stuff like Chef Boyardee's Ravioli, Kraft Mac & Cheese, but will not hardly touch anything healthy/"home-made". She does love peas, but spits out any other vegetable. I have tried giving her healthy, home cooked foods & snacks with no success. Does anyone have any recommendations that your toddler has actually liked? I'm looking for things in the store and recipes. Please, only answers from people who have tried the foods on toddlers and have had success. Thanks!!

I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, when she was newborn i did everything from the book,and breastfed her for 2 months.She was colic and didnt sleep good at all, and i always put her on her back.I dont smoke,drink,have any pets or anything or do drugs. From the start i never wanted to put her on stomach. But than i saw my sister put her newborn on stomach after 3 months old.
I want another baby,and if he doesnt sleep good at all,i would like to put him on hes stomach if hes healthy after 2-3 months old. Can anyone tell me what the ywent through with putting their baby on stomach,and what your oponion is??
please no grumpy people, i was against doign the baby on tummy thing from the start.

I will be 40 weeks friday, and I know that the further along you get the baby doesn't move as much, but last night it took about an hour of me moving just to make sure he was moving, and when I finally did feel him move it was ever so light. My husband seems to think he is just to cramped and low to give a good jab. What do you think?

I had a scan at 12 weeks and the sonographer told me the baby was spot on size wise for my dates, Monday I had my 20 week scan and now the head measurements are coming up lower then last time and I have been asked to go back for growth monitering, I asked the sonographer what it all meant but she couldn't explain, she began asking me if my other child was normal and if he has any problems. Has anybody else had this happen? it's my second pregnancy and I am very worried about my baby now, I fear something is wrong and they don't want to tell me.

If so, what happened? Did you get your period a few days later...or breakthrough bleeding & also did you have a normal pregnancy? My doc told me that it was fine to start trying as soon as you finish the pack of pills but he told me that when I was on regular pills, the problem is now I'm on that pill that lets you have a period every 3 months, so that means I won't finish this pack until March & we don't want to wait that long to start to conceive! We're not really in a rush...it's just that we have wanted one for a while & now seems like a good time. We've been together for 8 yrs & we both are working on getting a house in a few months & we both have great careers so we're excited about a baby! Any suggestions??

we have tried bed wettin alarms, dry night pants, and gettin him up in the night. also reducin the amount he drinks. nothin works. we have also checked with the school to see if there was a prob and nothin. help!!! jo xx
