The pill is not 100% effective. It's something like 99% effective. But if you are having problems or have missed a period, then go to your doctors. They can tell you for sure and also if it could just be an infection that's causing the problem. Remember the doctor's there to help you. Anything said or done is held in the strictest confidence.

i got pregnant a week after I got off the pill. So if you missed your pill or didn't take at the right time there is a possibility that you could be pregnant. I've heard about women who got pregnant even when they were taking the pill religiously

The pill is effective if taken correctly - everyone’s body is different and it takes about a month for your body to respond correctly to taking the pill

If you miss days, don't take it the same time daily, or were having unprotected sex during the first course of being on the pill you can get pregnant

Good Luck

My third child was a pill baby here. I was half a day late in taking one pill, and here he is 4 1/2 years later. It happens. And as another here said, you have to take them suckers religiously. Every day within a two hour time frame! If not, you increase your chances of having a baby.

You can get pregnant on the pill if you are taking antibiotics & it can also be ineffective if you have diarrhea. The pill is not 100% fail proof-nothing but abstinence is.

The pill is not an absolute guarantee especially if you have been on any type of antibiotics. I got pregnant with my oldest when I was on the pill.

The pill isn't 100%. If you miss just one tablet or have diarrhoea or sickness that would affect it too. There is no point in worrying yourself and making yourself ill. Either take a test or see your doctor than you will know one way or the other. Good luck.

The pill is not 100% nothing is. The pill is also not effective whilst taking anti-biotics so you should either abstain or take extra precautions whilst taking them. The most common cause of pregnancy whilst taking the pill is forgetting to take it!

I took antibiotics at the same time as the pill and they cancelled each other out so I became pregnant
that may be the problem
