My baby is not quite 4 weeks old yet. He refused to go to sleep unless i am holding him. He wakes up and cries soon after i put him down even if he if fully asleep. I have surrounded him with firm blankets and pillows to make him feel like he is being held. I have put items close to him that smell like me but nothing helps. I have had to have his sleep in bed with me so that both of us can get at least a little sleep. What can i do to have him sleep on his own?

I just went to the doctor and had my membranes stripped. Afterwards I had a good amount of bleeding, does this mean labor is close? Anyone else had there membranes stripped? Did it bring on labor?

My baby is not quite four weeks old yet. He feeds for a half hour on each side and i suppliment with formula, too. Even a few minutes later, he acts like he is hungry again but i am empty. I do not want to feed him too much formula but he always wants to eat!!! What should i do?

For mothers who have already experienced having a miscarriage or have given to a stillborn baby, how does it feel? How did it feel emotionally, mentally and physically? Do you fear the same thing will happen again when you get pregnant?

Ok I go get a blood test in a few hours and I'm scared it's going to come back negative. I don't know why but I am. My last period was November 1st. I got a positive pregnancy test a couple days ago but all this reading on peeonastick.com has made me question everything. My breasts have doubled in size, I'm tired all the time, I can't concentrate, and my lower back hurts. Why am I so paranoid????

I'm helping my church out with its parish's day care and was curious about what parents do to work on their kids interests and strengths without depriving them of having a good time. Some of the kids here are your dream children (brainy, handsome, polite, athletic, etc.), some are over specialized or half developed (the kid who's into trains but HATES (not tolerates) playing baseball, the girl that likes to dance and dress up yet refuses to say please and thank you while insistently screaming), and some are just ruts that never seem to have a good day.

Wada u guys think is the best way to help out and support these guys? I wanna do more than just deal with them all, but I can't help them all out all the time I'm there since I can only do so much.

my son is 5months old. he has a cold and i am giving him dimatapp. i know he doesnt feel good and needst to be held and comforted and all that...ive been holding him all day. he tries to sleep, (propped up and all) but when i put him down to sleep on the bed or on the couch with me he wakes up and cries until i pick him back up. he is not normally like this so i know its not the spoiled thing... how can i help him sleep right now? I cant hold him or the next 3-5 days while he gets over thsi cold! Ive tried propping him up in bed but like isaid, he jsut wakes up and cries after a minute

My doctor said my fundus is measuring the same size as a woman who is only 22 weeks! He says it could be low fluid, the baby being small or I got the wrong due date but that would mean I got the first ultra sound for determining the sex when I was like 12 weeks! Is it possible that they couldve mistaken a 12 week old for a 20 weeker? I hope its nothing serious I go to get my U/S on Tuesday

I was out of town last year with my inlaws and my husband was working here at home. This is going to sound dumb, because I will be a nurse soon, but I still am not sure if what happened was a miscarriage or not. I started having unbearable lower abdominal pain, and I started to bleed very heavily. I passed a grayish, see through squishy blob about the size of a 50 cent piece with blood clots wrapped around it. I was out of town and didnt have anything to save this tissue in, so I didnt get to take it to the doctor when I got home. After I passed it, I was fine, and my midwife told me that she would not be able to tell what it was since it had been a few days since it happened. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before? I hope this isnt too gruesome for anyone, it is just killing me because I don't have a true answer to what really happened, I was just hoping someone may be able to share a similar story that might give me an idea

Two Years Ago I went through a missed miscarriage. (the fetus had died and I had not been able to pass the tissue and had to have a D&C) Does anyone know the chances of this being a recurring problem or what the signs and symptoms of a missed miscarriage are because I feel wonderful but am in constant fear that the same thing will happen again and I will think everything is going fine... Any info on missed miscarriages, symptoms, and how common they actually are and if they have happened to anyone more than once would be appreciated. Thank you.

We are stuck between 2 names for our son. Talon and Sage. Everyone we tell says Sage is a girls name, even though I've seen it on a unisex name list. What do you think about Sage? Boy or girl? I wouldn't want my son walking around with a girly name.

Ok I have know idea what to do now. I have asked questions in the past on my 2 year old son and the problems we have with him. I took him to the doctor to see if it was something medical. They ran some tests on him. They now classify him as gifted (overly smart for his age). His specialist says that gifted children are the hardest to raise (well DUH! Look at my son is what I told her). I am scared now that they are going to be wanting to do alot more tests on him and I really don't know what to do with all of this. Any suggestions?
