Go for both. Talon Sage. Tell people it's "sage" in the sense of "wise old man", not the herb. Talon Sage would really sound cool if you have an unusual last name, too. Just a thought.

I have known 2 girls named Sage but if you like that name you should use it. I like Sage for a boy better than Talon

Sage can be used as a boy name but in my opinion I think it is a bit on the girly side so just to be safe I would go with Talon.

Sorry, Sage is a spice, and I think of girls in the kitchen, and Talons are the long claws on birds that prey, (like eagles)
I know it is so hard the find the right name and just about every name can be butchered. Go with what you feel and you and your son will be just fine.

I am a teacher and have seen the name Sage two times, both for girls. I'm sure it can be used either way, but it strikes me as a girl name.

I think that Sage could be both girl and a boy's name. I have never met anyone with that name.

I think Sage is more of a girls name... but if it's on the unisex list, then it could go for either... so do whatever you wish :) We chose Ethan for our son- the next boy name we have picked out is Cameron- now that one could go for either as well, but I like it more for a boy- it's all personal choice :)
Goodluck!
