Pregnancy & Parenting - 14 December 2006

I'm going to be induced in the morning. They are going to use prostaglandin E. Does anyone know what the average it is to work. Has anyone had this done to them. And how long did the whole process take from the time they put that in to the time baby arrives I realize everyone is different. I just want a rough estimate on how long till I get to see my baby.

Hey all. I'm thinking of naming my first girl Kennedy. Her full name would be something like, "Kennedy Anne Havgaard Steffensen". (yeah, long I know but my fiance has two last names.) Basically I know my brother will never have children because of his "life decisions" and I'd like my family name to continue. It kinda sucks cause the other day I saw a Barbie on tv named Kennedy and I was like, "CRAP >_

I have a 23 month old lil gurl that will be 2 jan 7th and she will not go to sleep at night until really late lastnight she didnt go untill almost 5 o'clock and just about everyday she doesnt wake up until around 11:30 which i do too cuz im up with her all night long i try to not let her nap thru the day so she will got to bed i like to have her in bed around 10pm but if she doesnt nap she will go to bed at 8pm then get back up at 10pm and stays up all night.. how can i get her to go to bed early and stay asleep until morning cuz its drainin me where i dont feel like doing nuttin at ll some body please help me oh yeah when i give her a bath she just get more wired up.... please help me....

I want a non-family opinoin on a name because it is kinda odd. I dont want my child to be made fun of or anything so I want your Real opinoin. Also if you think its odd but will be ok after the initial huhh let me know.

we have been seeing each other for a year or so. In aug of 2006 we moved in together. mid aug. we found out she was pregnant we where both so happy but back in july we were still seeing other people and there is another guy she spend one knight with

I am pregnant with my first, my husbands second. My husband and his Ex co-slept with their daughter and she still sleeps with her mom. She is 10 years old and her dad has to sleep with her 50 % of the time while she is here. She never slept a night alone until the last year. We have been married for 2 years and together for three. She is very comfortable with the house. She get scared at night in her room. Its a nice room, we leave the lamp on and the TV.

My problem is I don't want to co sleep for so long, my husband wants to. I don't mind it for the first year, but I would also like the option to have them sleep alone without being scared. I just wanted to hear from parents with experience with this. How you got your kids to sleep alone, at what age? Was it a hard for them to sleep alone?

I'm concerned and feel very bad,but i was just realizing that i haven't heard her say mama or dada lately, and she doesn't point to objects in books that i name off, stack blocks, or points to objects in general, or point to what she wants, well occasionally she will point to objects but not always. I guess i was just realizing this when i came across a couple of 18 mos. old milestone charts on the internet. Should i call her doc. asap ,should she be doing all these things like talking to word sentences and easy words like milk etc. She does say bye, very well and side which means outside.What is your exper. with your toddler, any tip or advice would be great. thanks

does my 2 year old son ALWAYS bash his head in? If I yell at hi he will go run and smash his head into a corner or floor and anything for that matter, and then he will cry like hell and say oww.
THIS IS NOT a phase, he has been doing this since about 9 months, I have never seen a kid do this, and I dont know what to do about it.
Because he bashes his head really hard I am afraid one day he is going to crack his skull.

Can a single woman adopt a child from Russia or do they have to be married. I am interested in pursuing this in the next few years and would be greatful to know anything about the Russian adoption process, costs associated with it, how the adoption went, and how the child is adjusting to life in the US. Hi I have 3 daughters, Kaitlyn Ashley, Victoria Amithyst, and Aleera Angela. We found out we are pregnant with our 4th child (hopefully a boy this time) and we have Gabriel Michael chosen for him, but if it's another girl ? the middle name we have chose is Athena. I personally liked Narcissa (means Daffodil), but my DH doesnt like it. I am so worried. My son will be 3 and he doesn't say sentences just short words. He seems very smart, but points to everything. We've tried the don't give it to him if he points until he says what he wants, but he doesn't. He had a hearing test. He hears fine. Advice anyone? What did you do if this happened to you?
