I'm going to be induced in the morning. They are going to use prostaglandin E. Does anyone know what the average it is to work. Has anyone had this done to them. And how long did the whole process take from the time they put that in to the time baby arrives I realize everyone is different. I just want a rough estimate on how long till I get to see my baby.

Good Luck!
If you are not going into labor and they are inducing it will probably be hours. Mine was 12, I know one person who was 6 and one who was 36 - so there is about as rough an estimate as I have ever seen.
Don't worry, 12 hours seems like a long time (and 36 seems even worse) - but it really flies by. It didn't feel like 12 hours at all for me.
Everything will be fine and when you are done you are going to have a beautiful, healthy baby. And that is the most important thing!

it takes minutes to hours... my dr. gave me the option of induction the day before my due date by stripping my membranes. i went into labour that night, mild labour mind you, i stayed home until the next morning and then went to the hospital. i was lucky with a short labour for my first time. good luck to you, hopefully the induction will work quickly!!

It can be anywhere from minutes to hours as a rough estimate.

The range is the same as a normal pregnancy, sometimes faster, but it will vary tremendously, especially if it's your first. Good luck!
