Pregnancy & Parenting - 23 November 2006

My grandaughter was born June 05 with meth found in maconium. Parents had phsyical custody and State of NV having custody. They rec. custody just at deadline. In July 06 grandson born, again meth . CPS took custody placing them out of home & with me. CPS has plan for parents to follow & to be done by 7/07. were voted into drug court 12-15mos.. had 4-5 weeks in, fathers UA failed, arrested for 5 days. starts over with DC .CPS states to me: to think if I want to adopt .Don't believe parents will make the deadline date.. (I 'm 49, kids are 16 mo and 4 mo It has been a hard 4mos. Parents want me to then let them live with them.. I"M sure you can't do that. I feel, I'm the one doing the WORK,some 0 nites sleep .0 LIFE., My man of 7 yrs has left.cuz of it all! They go do whatever , no clue what it takes for 2 kids 24/7. I LOVED JUST BEING GRANDMA ANY SUGGESTIONS? love my babies more than ever.also wonder if later theyhave prob from meth? the father is my son not 1 bit proud of

Is there any bedtime movies for a 5 year old boy?
I want to cut out normal daytime movie's before bed!
He has ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder so bedtime is always a nightmare for us!
I want something that is calming and that will help him relax.

The doctor told me not too give my baby water. Because she said that I am breastfeeding and formula feeding. She said there is water in my breast however, I recently stopped breast feeding my son. Should I give him water now or should I wait until I see the doctor? His next appointment is on Dec. 13th...

My mother suggested that I give him a little water because he needs too drink water too, not only formula... What do you guys think? My son is 3 weeks old..

hiya i am 19 years old and last night i found out i was pregnant by the doctor which was a massive shock we and my partner have been together a year and we are both really happy but as this is my first child i dont no lots about been pregnant and the stages etc. i have obvoisly brought my brother and sister up since they have been little but it aint the same though when its actually yours.
any good advice or good websites you know of that i could get some more info on plz?

I am 25, and I have two daughters who I just adore. I had my first at 20, and my second at 23..for those ignorants, yes, same daddy, and still together..but, after having my first child, it seems as though my memory isn't as sharp as it once was. I used to remember everything, now, I can hardly remember yesterday! I also started getting gray hair with my first pregnancy..is any of this common, or could there be an alternative reason for this??

My baby is sick and she has been having diarrhea. She just started crying so much and she was kicking her legs up and down. I couldnt figure out wat was wrong. I looked at her diaper and she had a little bit of watery diarrhea. Her butt was a little red. Does it hurt their butt when they have it? Do they feel a lil bit of pain?

My Fiance has been feeling nauseous for 2 days now.....She has her period right now and for the past 2 months her period has been irregular. The other night, my 5 year old son smacks his older sister causing her to have a nose bleed. This was at the encouragement of one of his acquientances.

We did have an immediate discussion and he was immediately reprimanded by having to go to sleep early.

I can't help but feel more needs to be done. Should I leave it at this or is further punishment required?

All I find just describes the positions verbaly. I want something I can print off and take with me to the hospital as a 'quick reference' to look at and try out while in labour. I need to see diagrams or pictures. I wish I could have a midwife to guide me and offer suggestions, but I wont because it isnt funded under my healthcare...I get a doctor, in a hospital.

My fiance and I have broken up (cheater) and I will only have a girlfriend with me. I am trying to prepare for this birth (have 2 teens already) and basicly know I will be pretty much 'on my own'. It is possible that the hospital staff will be supportive of my strong desire to try alternate positions...but I think it is best to educate myself and be prepared the best I can.

All I know is -I am not getting an epidural again, and I do not plan to push out the baby on my back or semi sitting. If I had lots of money I would have my privately, in a birthing pool with a doula/midwife- but I can't...Im alone and broke :(
