Flight during pregnancy is fine, however, is it discouraged during the third trimester and many carriers won't transport a pregnant woman in her last month of pregnancy.

Flying, especially long flights, while uncomfortable for the newly pregnant, or well, even for what seems like been pregnant forever, are perfectly fine. BUT that being said, some airlines have restriction about how far along you can be while you fly with them. Most prefer to not have you fly the closer you get to your due date. From 35 weeks and on I believe. If you have to fly, get a doctors note stating the condition and that you're fit to fly. Basically, airlines don't want to be liable or have to worry about a woman going into labour up in the middle of nowhere away from anyone and everything.

Blah blah blah ... Check with the airline and doctor. But flying is more or less safe.

If over 28 weeks some airline will not allow you to fly without a doctor's note. Since this is such a long flight it would be recommended to get up and stretch your legs at least once an hour to help prevent blood clots.
