My son's teacher called me today, and said she would like him to get tested because he has difficulty expressing things through words. He is 8, in second grade, and is completely normal. I do notice he has a hard time when hes trying to tell me about something, whether it be a movie he saw, or somethig he wants from the other room. He says "remember that movie we saw with the guy?" When I ask him to be more descriptive, he has a hard time with it. I know he knows in his head what he wants to say, he just cant seem to get it out. Does anyone know what type of disorder he may have? Do you know anyone who has been through this? He is a very smart kid, but I think this may be holding him back in school. Any help you can give me would be appreciated!

Is it normal to get sharp pains in the lower pelvic area when you sneeze? It's so sharp that I end up holding my stomache in pain. i'm 14 weeks pregnant and I heard the heartbeat a week ago. Also is it normal not to be gaining weight? i lost 15 lbs in the first trimester and have not gained or lost since week 12? Only females answer please. (don't tell me to ask a doctor please im in the process of changing insurance so I can't ask right now until I get coverage and a new doctor)

iv been having some minor chest pains that i can handle.i can handle pain pretty good so i dont know if i should worry but my chest pains are kinda harsh not to go the emergency room or anything like that but at times it kinda hurts when i take a kinda deep breath and at times a kinda strong pain comes and goes in a couple seconds has any one been through this.

She can climb out of her playpin with no problem so I know it's only a matter of time before she starts climbing out of her crib and I don't want her to get hurt. I put up her toddler bed, but she doesn't want anything to do with it. I've tried laying with her. I've tried being stern and telling her she has to do it. Nothing works. She wont even lay down in my bed with me. When we go out of town, she doesn't sleep because she refuses to sleep anywhere but her crib. She doesn't like change. I had to rearrange her room to put the toddler bed in there and she chased behind me screaming the entire time. She was mad at me for a few hours after I was done. I don't know what to do. Please help.

I just realized that some of the marinades and sauces I use contain a small percentage of alcohol because they contain wine or other ingredients. Is the alcohol burned off during cooking or could consuming it pose a problem for the baby? I'm 9 weeks pregnant.

I was playing tackle football today with my friends, but I don't know what to do. They think I'm not that good at football, even though I really am. This was the first time I've played with them (rather than some of my other friends) so they don't know how good I was. But they saw me playing well, so they did know, but they kept doing this. First of all, they picked me last, which really annoyed me. 7th graders were chosen before me, and I'm a 13 year old boy in 8th grade. Then, after we started, one of the players said "It's tackle football are you sure you want to play", which means he's trying to say I'm not strong enough for it. Then after I said "yeah I'll play", he said "We'll make sure they don't tackle you" which is really annoying. They think I'm horrible, so after every play they'll say "make sure you keep covering your man". It's really annoying, and they think I'm horrible, when I'm one of the best players. Please help! I don't know what to do! Thank You!

what should i do? they say to put a baby on his back but he WILL NOT sleep that way... i have tried and he wakes up after about 20 minutes and will not go to sleep until he is put on his belly. anybody else have this problem?

Right around the time that I was to be expecting my period, i had what seemed to be the end of a period, only for 3 days and then nothing. Mine usually last for about 7-9 days. There may be a chance that I'm pregnant but is still too early to tell by home pregnancy test, and yes I have made an appointment with my doctor. I was wondering if anyone had experienced this before they found out they were pregnant. Please let me know :)

me and hubby have been trying to conceive since august. my last period was Sept 29- Oct 4. my cycle is between 30-36. From my Ovulation predictor, it looked like i ovulated between Oct 18-22, i dont know which exact date. I have been spotting tan discharge/brown blood from Sun Oct 29-Sun Nov 5. two days out of that week (On wednesday and yesterday) i didnt spot at all. yesterday my nausea got soo bad right after i ate, i had to run to the bathroom to throw up. This morning my abdomen area had some pressure there and a little cramping, now the cramping went away. i took a first response this morning and it was neg. i have a doctor app. tomorrow at 9am. what do you think is going on?

I know there might be some risks with hair dye, but is it the same with a color rinse, the ones that wash out after so many washes? I kind of want to get a rinse put on my hair, but I'm not sure whether or not I'm pregnant. If I am, I don't want to cause any harm to my child. Can someone give me some advice?

I have stretch marks on my legs and breasts from puberty so its not like I should even care, but I want to avoid getting stretch marks on my stomach while pregnant.

What works? Any special lotions? Just not gaining a lot of weight too fast?

Any advice?
