What over the counter can I use to rectify the problem? Thanks in advance.

Yes it can be, but if you have spotting, there could be other reasons. When did you last have a smear test for example? might you have an infection?There are plenty of over the counter products you can buy, but be careful. Try taking the herb Agnus Castus, in liquid form, to help balance hormones. Products with wild yam in them,which is a natural source of progesterone, can also help, but be careful. Things like these are not regulated as to the amount of yam they contain; and yams can be quite powerful. I speak from personal experience; they usually come in cream form. I was using one of these creams to help me concieve.What happened was; I got a rash on my breasts and tummy from the cream; i got a very very heavy period just after. BUT. My periods then settled down and the spotting stopped for a whole six months, so it had some effect. I didn't get pregnant; I was too old at 45, and i already had children. Best wishes.

How far along are you? Cramping and spotting are signs of miscarriage. I recently had one and my levels were low. Ask your dr. about suppositories of progesterone. They shouldve told you about it anyway.

yes..and it can also mean a lot of other things. i think you should check with your doctor
