When it comes to pregnancy, which is a healthy, natural, physiological event, the practice of medicine is not the best approach UNLESS you have a medical issue.... Tell me why so many people write "if your doctor says so", or, have faith in your doctor", or "doctor knows best". Its time to consider Doctors cunsultants within medical expertise - and consult with them as such. Pregnancy is not, in and of itself, a medical event! Consult with a midwife- she knows birth is natural and can educate women about it- she can empower you to be your best practitioner!

I'm 19 and my boyfriend is 23. We have been together for about 9 months. We both really love each other alot. Since I have been going out with him he has always mentioned how he would like to have about 6 kids. Well he all ready has a daughter named Tara. She's about 1 yrs old. I must admit that he takes good care of her. He buys her things and he also picks her up about 4 days out of the week . Lately he has been bringing up the idea of me geting pregant by him. I'm not ready to have a child right now because I'm in college and I would like to get married and settled down first before I even have kids. I've told him before that i dont want any kids right now and I dont plan on having any unitl about 5 more years down the road. How could I possibly get this threw his head that I dont want kids right now without hurting his feelings!! Someone please help? What would you do in this situaion? Has this ever happened to you?

I take Nortriptyline for chronic migraines and back pain caused by 2 herniated discs. I know that this medication cannot be taken while pregnant, but if I don't take something or do something about the pain then I can hardly walk. (because of the discs) What are my options. We really want to be able to have kids someday.

He's in pt, ot and developmental therapy each once per week. I took him to a diagnostic specialist and they said his head circumference is in the 20th percentile and he has developmental delays and low muscle tone. They will not diagnose yet. Does anyone have a son like this? Mine is 16 months old. Do they sometimes grow out of this or do you think it sounds like a disability? He is crawling now, but he's physically normal if he were 6-9 months old. What do you think?

I feel this is a highly personal question and therefore, no one's business but mine and my husband's. Yet, when I respond by saying I feel that is a personal question or when I give a flippant answer like, "I'm too young to have kids" (which I am clearly not), people are often offended and think I am rude because I have evaded their question. I feel that I shouldn't have to disclose my personal business to anyone especially to an acquaintance. I am in an age bracket where about 85% of women have children with another 10% wanting children but unable to have them and I am treated as a pariah for not following suit. I am moving to another city soon and would like to know how I can avoid answering this question w/o seeming rude while at the same time secure friendships with women in my own age group. I have never verbally accosted anyone for having children and I do show interest when said women talk about their own kids, yet I am often excluded from social events. This is getting old.

I am a single mother and one day I caught my son and his girlfriend naked on the bed having sex. It was a real embarrassing moment. And also, I've walked into his room with his door open and caught him masturbating and I walked in the moment he ejaculated. This has just been really awkward and what should I do?

Should the man have to pay for child support if the couple took all possible measures not to get pregnant. They used condoms, birth control and other methods, yet she still got pregnant. The discussed pregnancy earlier and in the even that she got pregnant they BOTH agreed that she would have an abortion. But after she gets pregnant she decides to keep the baby. Should the man have to pay child support?

Okay, where do I begin? My daughter is 1 and is still eating out of stage 2 jar foods. If any type of food that is "chunky" not "smooth" touches her tongue she starts to gag. At first the doctor just said to give her time to adjust but now the doctor's are saying to keep trying to give her finger foods. She WILL NOT take them. If anyone has had this problem please let me know of any suggestions I can do or anyone's opinion will help. Also I have started her on milk and she is very constipated and once again the doctor said to give her prune juice, if there are any comments on this I would appreciate it.

I got my period in early November and it is extremely irregular. I am worried because I can have it for a day, and then it goes away. Some months I don't get it, then sometimes I do. I never know when it's coming ot how long it's going to last. I talked to my mom and she just said that the first few years are irregular. What should I do? I can't take it anymore.
