especially at dinner time, he is not ready to eat and by his act I get frustrated.
Any Idea? I have noticed tht if he sleeps till around 7pm he does it. Is there any connections with his feeding?

If he doesn't want to eat, then don't feed him!! Until the first birthday, breastfeeding makes up the majority of a baby's diet, so if he doesn't want to eat dinner, let him skip it and nurse a little more. Don't fight with him--you *can't* win!!

My 8 month old is the same way about eating. Since she has gotten mobile she does not want to sit still to eat. I have talked to the doctor about it and as long as she is not losing any substantial weight he is fine with it. I do trick her sometimes and put either cereal or jarred baby food in her formula bottle. That way she is at least getting some more food in her. It is very frustrating when I try to feed her because she is wanting to do anything but sit in that highchair and eat. My suggestion is to make sure that your son is not losing weight and keep some finger foods ready and every time he gets within reach, pop one in his mouth. That is what I have been doing. I am using the Gerber Veggie and Fruit Bites as well as the toddler wienies and veggies and fruits. Then try to get as much in as possible during the time that I do have her still in the high chair. She is still gaining quite a bit so all is well. Good luck. Also, and this is for you Mom, get plenty of sleep. As you already know you will need it to keep up with your new explorer.

There's lots of vitamins which could boost his appetite you should also try changing his diets and see what works for him. Kids can be picky so there must be somthing he'd like. Also try not to get him too sleep all the way to 7 pm and let him have dinner after he awakes leave some room for him to get hungry so when there's some fun activities for them to do they will definately get hungry.

try giving him a nap at a different time . 7pm is late . He thinks that its not time to eat.Make his meals at the same time every day .If he is still on the bottle give less milk.see if he will eat better. good luck.

if he is hungry he will eat. i know kids who don't hardly eat at all and they are fine. once he learns to walk it will happen again! they are too busy to eat! also around ten months babies go through a phase where they don't eat much and their growth slows down. it's normal. as long as he is getting at least 32 ounces of formula a day he should be getting enough nutrients to get by. don't worry. soon he will be taller than you!!!

ive heard... that its ok because if they arent hungry then they wont eat. so he'll eat when he is hungry. and if u noticed a pattern of when he WILL eat then just feed him at that time. and if you're really worried cuz he just doesnt want to eat at all go to a doc.

Best time to feed them is to feed them when they are hungry. He might not be hungry at dinnertime. Look for signs of hunger. if you are still breastfeeding...breastfeed them first. He might be tired to be fed too. So feed him when hewakes up. Good luck!

My pediatrician always told me that a child is not going to starve if they have food sitting in front of them. if he isn't hungry don't make him eat..maybe he won't have an obesity problem like most of the world.
