i think 2 years apart is good, but everyone is different. mine just happened. no planning whatsoever. i kept forgetting to take the pill. do you think that may have had something to do with it? anyway, they will drive you crazy with sibling rivalry whether they are 2, 4, 6, or ten years apart. when you feel that you are ready that is when you should have your babies cuz you're the one that is going to have to deal with them

it is entirely up to you and what you can handle!

My bro and I are 2 1/2 years apart and fought like cats and dogs most our lives till we became adults. Now we are next door neighbors and get along like friends.

My son and daughter are 5 1/2 years apart and I am LOVING that age gap! It is sooo much nicer not having two in diapers or going through the same similar developments at the same time.

I am 8 months pregnant however and my baby is not quite 1 year old. So they will be 13 months (if I make it full term) apart and to be honest I am quite fearful of that close of a gap!

So honestly think about what you can handle (diapers, stages, etc) and then think about how many years/months etc you would like of a gap in your kids.

I heard that 3 years is good because then the children aren't too far apart, yet not too close together to give mom's body a rest. My brother and I are 3 years and 1 month apart and I feel that was a good distance. I have friends whose siblings are too far apart and they don't really know them, which is sad. Take into consideration too that what is going on in your life (i.e., jobs, debt, etc.) must be taken into consideration too.

Glad to hear mom isn't controlling. : )

OK I'm sorry then! That just sounded really bad. You should do whatever you want. It's nice to have them close together so they can play together, but how they will get along has so much to do with their personalities. The only advice I would ever give along these lines is no only children. It's a hard, hard life.
