I would trust your doctor. As the pregnancy develops it will put more strain on your body and may cause your blood pressure to go up. High blood pressure is not good for you or your baby. Good luck and Congrats!!. I hope you have a healthy baby.

Your doctor wouldn't induce at 36 weeks unless he/she really thought you and your baby would be better off with the little one out rather than in.
Even though your due date is just an estimate and can be off by two weeks in either direction, even 34 weeks would be OK. Not ideal, and they wouldn't do it if it weren't medically necessary, but 32 weeks is great, and 37 weeks is actually considered full-term.
Both of my girls were delivered via C-section at about 37 weeks because of preeclampsia. They have no problems, and were actually delivered at a hospital without a NICU. The doctors were that confident that they'd be OK.

It's usually more dangerous with high blood pressure for you and the baby to wait longer. The baby will be little but usually does very well at 36 weeks. Full term is 38 to 42 weeks under the best of circumstances.

37-40 weeks is considered full term. In general a baby's lungs are fully mature at 36 weeks. So you "should" be safe. Just keep in mind every baby develops at a different rate so you could wind up with a baby with some minor problems... or you may not!
I had to be induced at 37 weeks due to pre-eclampsia with my son and he had to go into the NICU for 2 days because he couldn't maintain his body temperature and his blood sugar would not stay up on its own.
Good luck and congrats!

Ask yourself this question, are all your vital signs and the babies good? If so, this doctor does not have grounds to induce early. I would question that until I got the right answer. The long a baby can go to natural full term, the better, unless mother and/or baby are in distress.

I would definitely go with the doctors advice. If your doctor forsees any problems, I'm sure he would not recommend inducing. If your doctor has been monitoring your entire pregnancy, then he understands the entire situation. Right now, I would say he knows best. But never be afraid to ask any questions you may have. Knowledge is knowing. Understand what and why things happen.

It usually is ok, but they are not always as accurate as they think they are with your due date, so if they happen to be off on your due date then that may pose a slight risk. But you doctor will know when the pro's out weight the con's to induction. Good luck and I will be praying that everything turns out for the best! Good luck!

Not at all, my cousin was born 3 months premature. A month everything with your baby has formed and they just gain weight and hair the last couple of weeks. You might have a small baby but they'll quickly grow! Don't worry you're fine.
