Pregnancy & Parenting - 30 June 2006

I am a stay at home Mom. When my husband gets home I no longer exist as far as my kids are concerned. If they fall-Daddy, if they want to cuddle-Daddy, etc. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great they love Daddy so much, but isn't it frustrating? I just wanted to vent. Thanks

I was pregnant once at age 25, but miscarried in the 12th week. I've not tried to get pregnant since then (divorced) but now I'm ready to have children again - it's been over 5 years since my first (failed) pregnancy. Is it possible that it will take longer the second time around? The first (and only time) happened right away -1 month. My mother had quite a difficult time getting pregnant after her first child - almost 5 years! Is this common or just depends on the woman? Can I expect the same? My doctor says it just depends on a number of health factors...anyone else have an experience with this?

What do two year olds usually draw? My daughter can draw a person, but perfect( for a little kid) the eyes, nose , mouth, hair, ears, body are where they are supposed to be. Is this usual? If not, should I be encouraging her to draw more. She can also copy letters. Just wondering, my oldest daughter doesn't draw as well and she's 5.

I was engaged last year to an abusive man. He cheated on me and the relationship broke off. I was bitter for some time after, because when I left him I was about 3 months pregnant, too late for an abortion-in the state I live in-with nothing really to do. Since then, I've had a healthy baby boy, I'm in school, doing for myself. But I told him that I lost the baby months back-which he believed at first, because I'd had 3 previous miscarriages. But now he's surfaced again, showing up at my mother's house, and calling and emailing. I don't want him in my life, because I know how he is. He will try and take my son from me. He knows I had the baby, he's said as much, but he doesn't know where I am, where I'm going to school at-more importantly, he doesn't know where my son is. A family member of mine is raising him. Am I wrong to continue lying to him? Even if it's for my own safety, and my son's?

My son is 20 months old and not circumcised. My question is how long should I wait before I am able to retract his foreskin for cleaning? I have never really heard an answer for this and assuming that the foreskin will loosen whenever it is ready, if you have an uncircumcised son when did you experience this?

My daughter gave birth to a boy at 33.5 weeks gestation he was in nicu for about 2 weeks and came home with an apnea monitor . She has been doing breast milk but feeding with a bottle because she is afraid he isn't getting enough when on the breast here is the problem though over the last 3 or 4 days she seems to be withdrawing from the baby she is not pumping like she was and now the baby is taking formula about half of the time. She gets upset because he has to have the formula but will not pump regularly and her milk supply is down. She just seems to emotionally be distancing herself from the baby and if I try to talk to her about it she gets angry does anyone have any suggestions I have toalked to the doctor and they are leaving me hanging

I'm 13 with a great boyfreind. He cares for me and respects me for who I am and not how I look. Though when it comes to getting a hold of him it doesn't work out to well. He never answers my calls or he never calls me. I always have to call him. It's been a week since I've actually talked to him. I miss him a lot, but I don't if he misses me back or still even wants to be with me. So what should I do? I know I already asked this question, but seriously what do I do? For something so important, it seems like they should be easier to install and put together. I just had to call Graco to walk me through adjusting the straps because nothing that seemed logical worked. Now, I'm dreading going out and figuring out how to get the thing in my car again. Is this just me? I read the directions, but I really have trouble with this. I'm hoping it will be easier when I can turn the seat around so my baby is facing forward.

ok, i have known my friend for 8 years, I come to my dads house every summer and we hang out all summer along with the other neighborhood kids, well i have always thought she was a bit immature, she lies to her parents constantly, she through fits (screaming and crying) when she doesn’t get her way and she does things like through rocks, make fun of ppl, push people in pools and other stuff like that, anyways, at the beginning of the summer i was riding my 4 wheeler relatively fast and she troughs a rock hitting my knuckle, it hurt but normally i would have just blown it off like i always do but she had been doing stuff like this alot lately, then 1 day as she was walking home i started walking beside her and i set her straight, in the form of me telling her that I didn’t like how she was acting, no threats were made and no violence occurred, she is now mad at me because I spoke my mind, hell she wont even speak to me, i honestly don’t care but my girlfriend is telling me i need to apologize, I don’t think I need to but wht do you think??

hey everyone. im 15 and i might be pregnant. my boyfriend used a condom each time and my stomach feels bulgier, my lower back hurts like crazy, i get car-sick really easily, i get really irritated at people, my boobs feel bigger, i cant last 2 hours without eating, and im exhausted. my period shouldnt start for a few days.

Could this be a MAJOR case of PMS, or am i pregnant?? and what are some other signs i should look out for?

im also burping a lot for no reason. is this a sign???

I have been getting period like cramps but no period. I'm usually a week early every time but it's now about 2 days late. I have been getting these cramps off and on all week but yet no period.
