In response to the person who said my baby is too young to eat cereal....yea to you she may be....dont u hear of people who give cereal at two months....at her two month check up her ped. said that I could start giving her 1-2 tablespoons of cereal if I wanted around this time. My baby was born being 7lbs 10oz....at her 2 month check up she was 12lbs and 8oz and 23 and a half inches...so my point is two tablespoons wont hurt her.

You actually are not supposed to put cereal in a bottle. One reason is that cereal is a babies first solids and supposed to teach them how to swallow correctly. If you put it in a bottle, it goes straight down the throat with the milk and doesnt teach the baby anything.

A doctor years ago told me that a good way to judge if a baby is ready for cereal is to put it on the spoon if the child does well with it they are ready for the more solid food if not they are not definately the spoon

A spoon is better, they have to suck to hard to get it out of those bottles, not a good thing. Besides they need to learn to eat with the spoon. I always thought that those bottles for cereal were just for lazy parents.

My sister always used the bottle, I think she was lazy or something. I think you get more quality time with a spoon. I use to love feeding my niece cereal with a spoon.

Use a spoon darling, you are doing great. Bottle should be avoided once the child starts taking cereals, or some solid food. that was the child eats the amount he wants and that leads that he knows that he is full..inturn would not lead to obesity...

I would put the cereal in his bottle because he would not take it from a spoon.

My mom (she had 7 kids) feed us all by bottle with the cereal in it.

I think its better to use a spoon...If a baby is starting with solids they need to learn to eat from a spoon so they can someday use a spoon to feed themselves.
