im a cool mom. i let my 12 year old listen to whatever music he likes( rap mostly) and watch rated r movies. no big deal! to be honest i swear alot. sometimes when he is singing a song or repeating a movie line he will use altrenative words that sound almost like or close to the word hes trying not to really say. he doent want to actully swear in front of me thinking he will get in trouble. and hes probably right! the problem is it almost gets on my nerves when i hear him say the word in a song the way he does... like that song by buckcherry " your crazy bit..ch" he will say " your crazy beezie" and it bugs me... i guess i wouldnt mind him actully saying the correct word just for the song.... is that not ok as a parent top not mind it for those purposes?

I love my son more then anything, but I need a night of fun! Before I do this I need to know how safe it is. First I already know that I wont be breastfeeding at all during and the day after. I will suplement with formula. Plus I have a breast pump, so I can pump and then throw the milk away. But how long does alcohol stay in your milk? I want to to make sure its safe before I do anything.

I am starting my 5th week of pregnancy today and I have had a little very very light pinkish discharge (sometimes maybe a touch darker). It seems to be only when I go to the bathroom and wipe ( not in underwear). It's not very much at all, and I am a little crampy but nothing major at all. I haven't had sex or anything like that. I am a worry wart! Is this normal?? Has anybody else had this happen?

Last period on May 5, 2006 just in case that info is needed. This probably would have been my period week, but 100% sure. I did call the doctor and he said it isn't unusual for this to happen, and everything could be just fine, but he couldn't say that 100%. He also said unless I was bleeding really heavy and had really severe cramps, I should just wait and see my doctor after the weekend. ( My appt is Monday)!

Thanks.

My daughter is 4 1/2 months and I've just started her on solid foods. She eats cereal once a day and I have been pumping and mixing the cereal in with the breastmilk. The trouble is my baby nurses every 2 hours, so it is hard for me to get much milk out through pumping in between feedings - what ends up happening is I pump, and then she is hungry soon after and there is not much milk in my breasts...she pulls off quickly and is frustrated. So, today for the first time, I mixed 1 and 1/2 oz of formula in with her cereal. Is it bad to do this? I feel really crappy about it. I dont know if I am just being stupid about it. I just dont want to give her formula. I thought about mixing with juice, but I read that you should wait till 6 mos for juice. Should I just suck it up and pump or should I go with the formula? Or should I mix it with water? Let me know what you think! THANKS!!!

I delivered my daughter through c-section 16 months ago. I am pregnant again and it seems like I will be delivering on her birthday. The C-section was very painful for me, and the recuperation was kind of hard also. I know I will not be given an option anymore as to delivering vaginally, but I want to know why. I am about five weeks and monday is my first visit to be ob/gyn. I will be asking him, but I would like to know what other people think. Thanks

Alrighty, the kids I babysit always want to play "house". Now, I babysit a girl and a guy. The guy isn't always totaly excited about this. What are some twists on the game that would make it fun for not only the girl, but the boy, too? Something they will both enjoy and think is cool?
Or, if you have any other great babysitting ideas you can tell me them, too! =D

women want kids. normally couples try for a child then discover one of them can't do the deed, but here i know from the offset i will never be a dad. how do i tell that to a prospective gf? 'hey this is our fourth date, guess what we won't be having kids!'
just feel so down about it. whole point of life is to procreate, pass on knowledge, and now i'll have none of that. sigh. life's a bit ch.
