If the U.S. invaded Iraq because it was suspected of having weapons of mass destruction, and if the U.S. puts sanctions on Iran for creating nuclear weapons, would it not also be justified if Iraq invaded the U.S. becuase it was suspected of having weapons of mass destruction, and for Iran to sanction the U.S. for creating nuclear weapons?

This is a serious question, I ask only for serious answers.

I know a LOT of people who chose to live low-effort, low-income lifestyles. They have nice jobs where they are basically paid to be there. They show up, perform a repetitive task or answer the phone, they can put their brains on autopilot, they don't have to use problem-solving skills, there is nothing to "get right" and nothing to "figure out" and they make no decisions (sometimes these people think that decision-making is just the act of stating what the decision is rather than the challenge of coming to the right decision and the risk of making the wrong one). And they knew when they made these choices that they would not make enough money to support children. So they didn't have children. The ones with office functionary jobs, they can afford to have dogs and many do. But it's a choice, it's a tradeoff, and they don't try to have it both ways.

Samuel Madden wrote a satire/SF novel "Memories of the 20th Century" set in a future fictional world. His book was printed but never published because of it's subversive implications. In the book he describes a future world dominated by two companies - Globalisation is not a word he uses but seems his book points in that direction. Copies of the original book are extemely rare and none seem available on the internet either to buy or read.

Only one Republican candidate is still on their first wife. Of course, his great-grandparents fled to Mexico to avoid federal presecution. One married his pregnant girlfriend when he was just 17 and served on the Scooter Libby Legal Defense Fund advisory board. One was married to his 2nd cousin for 14 years and is now on his 3rd wife. One was heavily involved with the Keating Five.

Energy companies receive between $10 - $35 Billion in U.S. Taxpayer Subsidies. Kenneth Lay / Enron was the largest career contributor to the Bush Family.

Bush vetoed the SCHIP program for poor kids because he stated it moved health care closer to Federalization.

Basic health care is a right for ALL United States Citizens.

Laissez-Faire Corporate profits (unregulated, unrestricted, unaccountable) is a perceived right that the ultra wealthy have bestowed upon themselves. And why isn't the Bush administration's unprecedented support of corporate welfare perceived as "Federalization for the Wealthy?

My liberal roommate always tells me my politics are "self serving." And its not just him, I've heard other liberals make that accusation to conservatives. Why do liberals beleive this? Because I think people should be responsible for their own healthcare, the goverment shouldnt spend billions on social programs, etc. this makes me self serving??? He's the one that wants society to pay for everything. How are we conservatives the self serving ones?

Really it is an outdated arguement. With conservatives having more seats on the Supreme Court... wouldn't they have over turned Roe vs Wade by now if that is what the Republicans wanted?

Permission to dock the Battleship Iowa in San Francisco as a floating museum to our Navy and the role of the Iowa in World War II ... DENIED.

Permission for the Navy's Blue Angels to participate in an air show over San Francisco Bay ... OPPOSED

Permission for the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon to film a recruitment commercial on California Street in San Francisco ... DENIED.

And now this? I am sure that as in all of these instances, I will get some liberal answers attempting to excuse this behavior. Traffic…..safety…. right. Well, at least they are not still spitting on returning soldiers a la Vietnam.

They take absolutely NO personal responsibility for their actions. They want the Government to clothe, feed, educate, evacuate, and give them Advil when they are sick.

PLEASE...we Conservatives think we should do these things for ourselves. We work hard and take pride in our ACCOMPLISHMENTS. We do not look to others to do things we can and SHOULD do for ourselves.

His party doesn't want abortion for any reason....even if a medical doctor says that the life of mom and baby are in danger...(which is the government in health care)

But.......he doesn't want to provide health care for the children after they are born?

And I don't want any foolish conservatives talking about people paying their own way, people having babies for welfare money....yada yada yada....

We are talking about CHILDREN who have no control who their parents are and how they live their lives.......

Explain this to me please!

Clarence Thomas - unsubstantiated CIVIL charge of referring to a pubic hair

Bill Clinton - unsubstantiated CRIMINAL FELONIES of raping Juanita Broaddrick and Molesting Kathleen Wiley.

Libs seem hung up on continuing their "high tech lynching" of Clarence Thomas in the New York Times.
