Well I'm glad you find no good in him. Probably his biggest problem was hubris. He believed Germany's destiny to be pre-ordained and consequently took on more than they could handle. After a string of successes he stretched their army and resources too far. Probably his greatest blunder was invading Russia. Germany and Russia had a non-aggression pact and Stalin actually thought of Hitler as an ally. Had Hitler not invaded it would have been very very difficult for the allies to defeat him.

England and Russia did not roll over and play dead. He tried to fight a war on several fronts (should have tried to make peace with Russia) and failed. He was also totally nuts.

He was driven by hate. As most dictators are. He had a horrible childhood from what I understand and that will breed hate in any person.
Perhaps he was also driven by greed. Greed for more power and more people.
