Notice the headline of the above article: 'Jenna Bush Ducks Iraq, Talks Engagement'. I don't see how she's 'ducking' Iraq. I don't remember her being on the ballot in 2004, so why should she have to answer for her fathers' policies?

And surprisingly, she also says that she understands those people who say that she and her sister should be serving in Iraq. And her answer to that is there are many ways to serve her country. One way, she pointed out, was working at UNICEF.

Basically, Jenna is not her father George, if anyone wants Iraq answers, they should go to someone in his administration. I don't recall anyone asking Chelsea about her dad's BJ, or any other Oval Office activities.

should a person receive more punishment for WHY they have committed a crime vs. WHAT the crime was? should that even be relevant? why is attacking/victimizing a person for racial, religious, etc. reasons WORSE than doing so for any other reason or no reason at all? shouldn't the law focus more on WHAT rather than WHY a crime was committed? doesn't this kind of legislation provide for more inequities under the law, with some people receiving harsher sentences than those committing identical crimes that do not qualify as "hate crimes"?

Why not have sport, shipping/weather forcast to ( opt-in) on

separate prog or long wave instead of making people who

want to listen to interesting programmes swtch off?

Galloping presenters prove their prowess, do not serve.

How do you think they got big? Because all of us little people forked over our hard-earned money for their stuff! People talk of McDonald's "making us fat" - but did they force anyone to go into their restaurants? They make the food that the customers pay for! In fact, the customers DID speak, DID cause McDonald's to add healthier choices to their menus and that is why the company is making a comeback!

Who rules the free markets? The CONSUMERS do.

In 2002 Senator Clinton voted to authorize President Bush to do what was necessary to unseat Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein
AS a member of the Armed Services Committee after visiting Iraq in 2005 said U.S. withdrawal from Iraq would be a mistake.
In 2007 she voted in favor of a war spending- that required Bush to begin withdrawing the troops.
On June 19, 2007 Clinton told a union audience that she favored keeping some troops in Iraq "to protect our interests."

The following day, she told an anti-war gathering she wants the troops withdrawn from Iraq! On that day she dazzled the "Take Back America" conference by declaring: "We're going to end the war in Iraq and finally bring our troops home."

Then on the debates she states, " Who knows what we will inheirit?" Her stance on her own website is withdrawal of some of the troops, but some will have to remain to keep an eye on Al-quaeda and to keep Iran at bay.

Puritan values combined with tolerance and patriotism.

In her book "It Takes a Village," Hillary Clinton wrote that the "lowest paid German worker" makes more than the "lowest paid American worker."

Right.

But only if the definition of a "worker" is someone who actually has a job.

They have a higher price floor on labor in Germany - a higher mandatory minimum that you must pay a "worker" - - meaning anyone whose labor is worth below that amount doesn't get a job, thus isn't a "worker."

That is why they have twice our rate of unemployment in Germany - CONSISTENTLY twice our rate of unemployment - even though we import poor and unskilled immigrants into our workforce every year at a much faster pace than Germany does.

Their "lowest paid worker" makes more but only because they take another 5% of low-paid workers and freeze them out of a job, thus they're not workers - all the people making $0 simply don't count! If they did, it wouldn't be a true statement!

It seems to me that when you think of the near eradication of the American Indians and the treatment African American's had to endure for 400 years that the travesties committed by our american forefathers is a least as bad as the Nazis.

I'm not a historical scholar but I would like to hear how people more educated than me rationalize for and against this argument. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
