No, I do not.

You may want to work on your grammar. Your last sentence isn't a complete one.

Do you really expect anyone to take you seriously?

(Do you see how much of a dork you look like when you complain about others now?)

capital punishment is wholly an emotional issue - it makes people feel good to think some guy "deserved it."

of course, that is all good and fine when you are watching it on television. in the real world there are other issues to be addressed.

like the discomfort that anyone ought to feel about a state (as in country) determining that some of its citizens have no right to life.

or the fact that they may not even be guilty of the crime they are accused of.

the justice system is run by humans and as humans they make mistakes - numerous and sometimes large.

---

that said, if they are going to execute someone, i feel that if the prisoner thinks it will be cruel and unusual, they have a right to challenge their verdict and request an alternative punishment (which may be execution by a different method but most likely not).
