Total waste of money but we do need to start paying attention to protecting satellites as taking them out is the same as defeating the USA.

When was the last time you were consulted about anything more than Puppet A or Puppet B?

And why do we have socialized space exploration anyway? Damn government. Why don't I have a house on the moon yet?

Education gets 72 billion a year. NASA gets 17. Which one is the "massive" expenditure?

Because governments generally don't consult the electorate on anything. Democracy is a myth; government is run by the same people it's always been run by: the rich, powerful few.
