First off, I like Mike Huckabee. Now to answer your question, I think the media and some people are making a big thing about Thompson because of his hollywood credentials. I have nothing against Fred Thompson but I have followed Mike Huckabee's career for a few years and I believe he is a very good man and is the best candidate for President.
As Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee was all set to be sworn in as Governor when then corrupt Governor Guy Tucker had announced he (Tucker) would resign. Thousands of people traveled to see Mike Huckabee sworn in and at the last minute Tucker changed his mind and said he would not resign. Thousands of people were very angry at that point and they could have had a riot or something. Mike Huckabee was cool and showed great leadership that day as he encourged his admirers to calm down and handled the situation with poise,dignity and maturity. To make a long story short,I have concluded that he will be a great President if America will elect him.

I think the interest in Mr. Thompson is based on conservatives who think he is the most conservative of the Republicans. He is a lawyer, an actor, a former Senator. He has credentials.
