Why do presenters on radio & t/v invite people to speak then cut them off halfway sentence?

sport prog. follows with inane chat for minority listener.

Why not have sport, shipping/weather forcast to ( opt-in) on

separate prog or long wave instead of making people who

want to listen to interesting programmes swtch off?

Galloping presenters prove their prowess, do not serve.

Probably because they asked a question and the person is rambling about something not related to his question. Kind of like the Presidential Debates. Peace

The good ones don't do this.
