No, he's just going to hand over his monumental failure in Iraq to the Dems when he leaves office.

Nothing like a President who loves starting wars but can never finish them, will never admit he was wrong & uses US troops lives for his own political gains. Now that's what I call a true American patriot.

Looks to me that one democrat finally gets it. Read the story and give me your thoughts:

Since when is it the governments responsibility to monitor what people eat and limit free enterprise? Do gooders in LA have initiated a petition to stop building new fast food joints for 2 years. Why, people are getting fat. Is this really where we need government controls?

Made in the USA!
Product of the USA
Grown in the USA
Manufactured in the USA
Assembled in the USA

Would these types of labels encourage you to buy USA products over foreign produced products?

Would you like to know if the USA companies are sending the work to foreign countries where we have no control of lead paints, toxic additives, USA banned insecticides and pesticides, forced child labor, etc.?

Would USA labeling help to bring jobs back to the USA?

dont you love it when a communist says that the soviet union was not true communism, and that true communism never existed, but when it comes to america they think its really capitalist? another way to try and bail the soviet system out, and relieve communism of its evil past.
in america, there are so many welfare and government support programs, so many public hospitals, so many useless agencies, that you could easily call it a socialist nation with relatively low taxes. if an illegal can survive here, and get welfare, is that capitalist?
i see some people on here, like "ideogenetic" trying to promote a nanny-government, as if he cant survive in a competitive environment. maybe he is obsolete.

I don't think that Iraq had been calm over the past few weeks because of the surge.

Its because General Petraeus and Ryan Crocker gathered local support from the Sunnis who did attack US forces during the early years of the invasion. Primarily to fight against Al Queda.

And Shia leader ceased his militia's operations against US forces.

Guess that enabled operations against Al Queda to be easier.

What's everybody's agenda here?

It was on FOX News this morning. Madonna and Brittany need to either convert or die. At least according to the leader of some terrorist group in Palestine.

But yet liberals seem to think we can negoiate with these people!

What do you think about this?

Open-source software, for those who still use Windows, is free, non-proprietary software that is open for all to use and improve. How could a public, open-source good be so good if critiques of communism are correct?

as an Englishman who has just arrived in the USA on business i feel i must ask this.
Everybody is aware that the USA hasnt got much of a culture, but i was thinking that perhaps those more fortunate like ourselves could lend some of ours to the USA for them to warp/fashion into their own.
At the moment the only famous American icon i can think of is Ronald McDonald and even he is Scottish.

...why didn't he feel the need to share those reasons with the rest of us until much later in the invasion?

After all, a reason is something you're aware of before you take action. Logically, if you come up with a reason after you've acted, that's not a reason - that's an excuse.

So Bush had all these good reasons to invade Iraq, besides the (non-existent) weapons of mass destruction, so that it doesn't really matter that they're not there, it was still a good decision: Spread democracy, fight terrorism on its home turf, create a reverse-domino effect in the Middle-East, avenge his dad, etc...

During the period before the war, Bush was working hard making a case for the war. But all he ever told the American People, the U.N., the coalition of the willing, Congress... about what WMDs (and an attempt to kill his dad). So since he had all these good reasons, why wouldn't he have used them back then to make his case?

Tell me who you think the top 3 are and if you like, why. I see a lot of Dems vying for camera time. Who do you think speaks best for the party? Doesn't have to be a candidate running for Pres.
