House shifts $16 billion toward renewable energy!
Republicans called it a "no-energy bill" because it lacks new drilling incentives, and they derided the new emphasis on renewables as "green pork." The White House threatened to veto the bill on concerns that it could boost energy prices.

Didn't Bush say that the USA is addicted to oil and needs to find alternate energy sources? Or was he just refering to ethanol?

In particular, I'm trying to get background information showing:
- how many republican vs democrats are on or have been on welfare
- state by state breakdowns of welfare recipients
- the green party/Ralph Nader/Libertarian Party stances and voting records on welfare
Also, are welfare recipients ever checked for drug usage, why or why not?

Islam and Christianity are the two religions have consistently waged war against humanity for hundreds of years. Tancredo may as well be consistent about putting a stop to that kind of problem.

Throughout the past 6 years, I have seen and heard people blame Bush for anything from Katrina, to the tsunami, to the MN bridge collapse. How can people expect the majority of Americans to take these people seriously, when they make accusations such as these? Bush aimed Katrina at New Orleans? Bush caused the bridge collapse? How? I've even heard people say Bush caused the sun to become more active. If he's that powerful, I'm glad he's on our side. *shaking my head*

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat and was for distribution of all wealth.

She felt deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican which she expressed openly. One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to higher taxes on the rich & the addition of more government welfare
programs. Based on the lectures that she had participated in and the occasional chat with a professor she felt that for years her father had obviously harbored an evil, even selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

The self professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father.

Closed minded - when anyone disagrees with a liberal.
Compromise - when you do what a liberal wants.
Freedom - when liberals get their way.
Unbiased - when it leans left.

Teachers have among the lowest SAT scores at universities.

They tend to vote for Democrats too.

Any surprise?

here's the definition of "Liberal":
Liberalism refers to a broad array of related ideas and theories of government that advocate individual liberty.[1] Liberalism has its roots in the Western Age of Enlightenment.
Broadly speaking, liberalism emphasizes individual rights and equality of opportunity. A liberal society is characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy, free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of all citizens are protected.[2] In the 21st century, this usually means liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law

Humm
God promised the Israelis land if they avoided war and strife. Which they have not.
So.
Did God promise any other group of people certain parcels of land?

And if the land the Isralis occupy today is the so-called "promised land", and if it is TRULY theirs, why did God have to PROMISE them land in the first place?
and why did the UN have to become involved?

(and please don't give me some story that God used the UN as a 'vehicle' to impose His Will....please don't....because it just won't fly.)

Environmentalists who are Liberals, care more for a tree, and plants, than a growing cell from a woman's womb. Why is that? Why is it okay to let a growing human-being die, but preserve a tree? Do Liberals need that much shade from the SON? (sun)?

There are two similar versions of the bill. The Senate bill is outlined in the first link below, and the House in the second.

Basically, a "'Patriot Corporation' would get tax breaks and preferences in federal contracting for employers who produce at least 90 percent of their goods and services in the US and with American workers. The companies must invest in research and development domestically, provide adequate health care and pensions and--surprise--comply with federal laws like workplace safety, environmental protection and consumer regulations."
