would you fight the occupiers? Also, would you attempt to bring power to like minded Americans, be they Democrats, or Republicans, or some faction that adheres to your belief system?

I am attempting to put into perspective what an Iraqi citizen might view the current situation in their own country for you.

Its funny how some people, like "common sense" over there, first agreed with you, then when they realized what you were referring to, they edit to include that 'it's different'!

it's no different.

There are people with families in Iraq and Palestine who have not done anything to deserve the intrusion on their lives.

We brought down Russia without sending in the troops, we could have brought down Saddam.

in the Philippines there are homeless children who run around naked and beg for food.

There are countries where child prostitution rings are common everyday occurrences, and there are countries that are starving.

that $400,000 a day should be used for more humanitarian purposes.

There were no starving Iraqis, they were healthy and better off before this mess we put them in.

I'm not American, so I will add to your question. If an Iraqi or Arabian soldier made the crime of Pauel Cortez and the rest of the military unit, what do you think the punishment may be by an Arab Muslim court for those men who raped and killed a 14 years old girl and her family.

There are still enough Americans who believe in America, who would not stand for and would fight against a muslim invading army. You have to remember, we went in for many reasons, which I won't get into. We gave warning after warning and kept our promise to attack. The US is not a country that wants to attack and kill everyone that is different than us. We are asked to help other countries defend against this and come to the aid of the UN, etc. Lets be honest about this. This question is to further a politically biased ideology.

Edit - If you are trying to put things in perspective for us, you need to talk to actual Iraqis and the soldiers who are over there. If you have done that, you would know that this is not how they feel. A majority of Iraqi's are a lot like we are. They are fighting side by side with our soldiers to beat the extremists that have declared war on the world. Iraqis want peace and 'are' fighting against the insurgent occupiers. They look to us to help them stabilize their country and see that we are not taking their country from them. They have control of their oil, their government, etc. Well over 70% of the insurgents are NOT from Iraq, but have traveled to fight in Iraq and are supported by other countries, like Iran (proven).

I don't believe you are trying to put things in perspective. You are attempting to convince people how you and people like you believe things are.

seriously, desert geurrilla warriors taking over our country?!!!
its been tried by the best, never happen!!!

all they have is seconhand soviet weopons, wich will do great to defend themselves in there own back yard but not over here!!!

plus realestate is a sacred thing over here, weve been fueding over it for years, and we always won and always will!!!

but if things went nuke those countries would be toast and wed lose a few, wrap our houses in plastic and ductape all the windows shut, and put on our radiation suits ans masks and dosimeters[ yes i used to work at a nuclear power plant]

and go back to shopping and move on to the next crusade!!!

when we are at peace we start goin after each other!!

if this war wasnt goin on bush and his administration would have been kicked to the curb a long time ago, its a distraction
political move as i stated a long time ago in an answere a while back about hitlers aid ghering!!!

im not sayin bush is hitler just do your homework and research and look it up just like your back in college,
class dissmissed for now!!!

"some faction that adheres to your belief system"

It looks different when it's seperated and placed by itself, doesn't it?

To answer your question, I would fight back. By doing the opposite of what you suggested.

The Muslim religion, by its very nature, is fractured. The easiest way to overthrow a muslim regime, is to turn one muslim sect against another.

Or, to use your turn of phrase, to encourage THEM to give power to factions that adhere to their particular belief system.

Remember, Islam isn't like christianity. If Babtists were encouraged to kill Lutheran families just because they were Lutherans, then they would be more similar.

Think things through.

honestly, the way i see it, our government has turned into a self minded, corrupt, money hungry force. and if you look at muslims what do you see? They not only have more values on there left hand then our whole government does, but they go through with there values and decisions. We sit here on a day to day basis wondering when the next movie is going to come out, when they sit there thinking of ways to help people(whether it be bad or good). So i think a muslim occupation in our government would be something that is destined for great potential.

I tend to look at where the Iraqi people have come from.

Horror of Hussein - History Channel Documentary
..."Along the way the mesmerized viewer is introduced to acid-drip machines in torture chambers, the mass public hangings of Jews Saddam claimed were “spies,” and grisly anecdotes of torture to induce false confessions -- with husbands forced to watch the raping of their wives, parents the gouging out of their children’s eyes, or the horrific image of a baby flung into a wall to shatter its skull."

This wont happen as long as Pres. Bush is in there. If you put some one like Mrs. Bill Clinton in there, it could very well happen. She will try to appease these people and end up loosing her head. If it was to happen, I would fight to the end. I have plenty of ammo and weapons thanks to the second amendment.

Yes. My second amendment rights under the pre-Muslim overthrow would really come in handy! I would definately try to kill as many of them as I could and encourage all my fellow true Americans to do so as well.

Edit- There is absolutely no comparison to be made between the scenario in your question to the Iraq situation. We are not there to occupy Iraq. We are trying to get them to support themselves.
