"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet...Hell, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care. When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care. When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and -you guessed it: I don't care!!!!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your e-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, and then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great country!

And may I add:
"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem." Ronald Reagan

I have another quote that I would like to add AND.. ..I hope you forward all this.

"If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under." also by... Ronald Reagan

One last thought for the day: In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his
Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in, And how many want out."
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
YOU MIGHT WANT TO PASS THIS ON, AS MANY SEEM TO FORGET BOTH OF THEM.
AMEN!

Soldiers suspected of alien smuggling

LAREDO, Texas - Three National Guardsmen assigned to the Texas-Mexico border were accused of running an immigrant smuggling ring after 24 immigrants were found inside a van that one of them was driving, a U.S. attorney said Monday.

The three, arrested late Thursday and Friday, were arraigned Monday on a federal charge of conspiring to transport illegal immigrants.

Pfc. Jose Rodrigo Torres, 26, and Sgt. Julio Cesar Pacheco, 25, both of Laredo, and Sgt. Clarence Hodge Jr., 36, of Fort Worth, were arrested near Laredo.

A Border Patrol agent found 24 illegal immigrants inside a van Torres was driving along Interstate 35 near Cotulla, Texas, about 68 miles north of the border, prosecutors said. Torres was in uniform at the time of his arrest Thursday.

The van was leased by the National Guard, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Prosecutors accused Hodge of helping Torres pass through a Border Patrol checkpoint on the highway by making it look like the two were conducting Guard business.

Does anyone realize that discussions centering on political issues have become so mean-spirited that now its just a heated exchange of vile malicious comments?

Why do people seriously think that character assissasination of a figure will help them gain any rational ground, other than having a receptive crowd who agrees with them?

Top Dems --- including Bill and Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi and Kerry and Kennedy --- fought very hard to allow doctors to continue crushing the skulls of babies who could live outside the womb via partial birth abortion.

Do you support their dreams of once again making it legal?

"The physician will then either crush the skull or will use a vacuum to remove the brain and other intracranial contents from the fetal skull, collapse the fetus’ head, and pull the fetus from the uterus."

After the truth came out in WWII about the holocaust, many refused to believe what was going on.

It seems like today there are many people who deny the 40 million lives that have been killed by abortion. Does anyone else notice similarities?

See the pictures on this link for what is being murdered.

Infant mortality is used to compare the health and well-being of populations across and within countries. The infant mortality rate, the rate at which babies less than one year of age die, has continued to steadily decline over the past several decades, from 26.0 per 1,000 live births in 1960 to 6.9 per 1,000 live births in 2000. The United States ranked 28th in the world in infant mortality in 1998

Infant mortality among African Americans in 2000 occurred at a rate of 14.1 deaths per 1,000 live births.2 This is more than twice the national average of 6.9 deaths per 1,000 live births.

News flash, people: There is NO movement afoot to abort every pregnancy in the world.

Abortion is an intensely personal, private matter for a woman. No one has the ability to force an abortion.

Hitler was exterminating an entire race of people.

One woman can only have one abortion at a time. And NO ONE is saying abortion should be the standard (save those few stupid right-wing extremists who say all liberals should be forced to have abortions).

There is no comparison between the two. If you're going to make an argument, could you at least make it a rational one?

I am a liberal for many reasons. On here I read from each side that the other isn't patriotic or the other wants a dictatorship, or the other wants terrorists to take over the country. Are you serious? We exercise what might be the greatest right given to us in this country (freedom of speech) and are accused of being anti-American? Isn't that being anti-American?

Why can't both sides realize that the other side wants to do what's best for the country and they have different ideas of making that happen?

[edit] Prefertilization effects
The combined Pill primarily prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. In women who take the pills correctly, ovulation is prevented in 98-99% of cycles. Forgetting to take one or more pills increases ovulation rates; one study found skipping two pills in a row resulted in ovulation in 29% of cycles.[46] (In women not taking the Pill, pregnancy occurs in approximately 25% of ovulatory cycles.)[47]

In the event of breakthrough ovulation, secondary contraceptive mechanisms are believed to come into play. Proposed secondary mechanisms active before fertilization include thickening of cervical mucus, which can prevent or slow sperm entry into the uterus, and changes in tube transport inhibiting sperm migration to the fallopian tubes.[48]

[edit] Postfertilization effects
Mechanisms that act after fertilization are controversial; according to those who define pregnancy as beginning at fertilization such mechanisms make the method abortifacient.

Not all liberals I must say have this mentality, but I do find the hardcore far-left liberal has no tolerence for anyone who may disagree with him or her on various issues such pro-life as pro-abortion.

If liberals pride themselves as free thinkers and open-minded...how come they are so closed minded to opinions of others who might disagree with thier philosophies?

No Child Left Behind Act Is Working/NCLB Benefits Children, Empowers Parents, Supports Teachers and Strengthens schools. Its much the tests. Its the real deal.
Accountability laws for schools have a dramatic imrovement in teacher performance, and development, teachers have to worker harder to meet the higher goals, schools have the tools now the funding and the programs.....to meet the success of ALL students.
Ask almost any school administrator, education policymaker or think-tank wonk about NCLB, and you're guaranteed to get at least one sunny metaphor about how the law opened a window, raised a curtain or otherwise illuminated the plight of the nation's underserved kids.
"At the end of the day, who can argue with holding schools accountable for all children?" "Who can argue with not tolerating failing schools or with giving poor kids the kinds of choices that wealthier kids have.
