The border obviously needs sealed and we need to crack down on those how employ illegals. We certainly shouldn't provide anything close to amnesty, because that would be unfair and disrespectful to all who legally came to America and all who are waiting. I do think we have laws already that aren't being enforced, as is the case with many things, like gun control. As far as more details, it would take too much space. We are certainly in a difficult situation, because we aren't traditionally a country that denies services or protection to anyone.

It covers too many things. 1) Secure Borders - has only an indirect relation to immigration. The rationale for secure borders is to prevent attacks on our country via infiltration. 2) Immgration limits - the idea that only so many immigrants may enter the country -- how to enforce? 3) Illegal immigrants - what to do about families that made our country home without proper papers. 4) Labor - how do we prevent corporations from circumventing existing labor laws (such as mininum wage) Let's address these problems with separate bills, so we can at least resolve 1), which is the only pressing problem.

I think we need to secure the border. We need to do whatever it takes to keep people from crossing the border. Once we get that done we can decided what to do with the illegals who are already here. I think we should send home anyone with a criminal record of any kind but allow others to remain in the country.
