Do me a favor. Go to the library or the book store and pick up "The Prince" by Niccolo Machiavelli. This classic of political strategy goes into detail on what happens to rulers that rely on Mercenaries for their defense and military campaigns. Basically if you outsource your armies you outsource your countries leadership. A national army has a reason to fight for besides money. Eventually the military that you are going to pay will think why don't i just take over since they are not concerned with fighting their own battles and they don't have the armies to defend themselves.
