For example, in the Cuba missile crisis, the US the US established fifteen US jupiter nuclear missiles in Turkey in April 1962. However, today Kurds became the biggest allience with the US that the US has forgotten about the cold war. Look at this link what the Americans people think about Turkey. Congratulations the US !

With respect to the war: No insult here, but isn't it possible that you have been deceived? Read the following quotes and then consider the rhetoric coming from Bush. Sound familiar?

"Of course the people dont want war...that is understood. But voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." -- Hermann Goering (1893-1946 leading member of the Nazi Party, second in command of the Third Reich, and commander of the Luftwaffe.)

Now consider:

"Wars are seldom caused by spontaneous hatreds between people, for peoples in general are too ignorant of one another to have grievances and too indifferent to what goes on beyond their borders to plan conquests. They must be urged to the slaughter by politicians who know how to alarm them."
-- Henry Mencken

Is this another way the liberal school system is trying to indoctrinate our children with their disgusting ideologies?

If my child is faster in getting to the toy bin than yours, why should my kid have to give up what he earned to your undeserving child?

*Survival of the Fitest and initiative/commpetitevness should be taught at an earlier level*

Agreed?

I find it amusing when they post on here and go on and on about how they had no "advantages" and how they all "worked hard for what they earned in their life"...

I've known a few of the "type" in real life...

inherited your wealth... went to the best schools... had every advantage possible... lived in secure, nurturing homes...

but they've always "done everything themselves"...

and everyone who's poor just "isn't trying"...

I just find it funny...

The US supports many corrupt dictatorships around the world. That's a fact. Democracy doesn't matter to the US government as you can see that the US has a comfortable relationship with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. So dictatorships are fine with the US. It does not mean that all American citizens accept this. There's a good chance that in Iraq whether the US stays or not will become a dictatorship. That dictatorship may a lot more repressive than Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. After all the American deaths in Iraq (more Americans have died there than died during 911), can you accept the end result of a corrupt dictatorship in power? If you can, was democracy ever a goal of the invasion? What is America saying by accepting dictatorship? My last question is could some form of dictatorship by the govt be acceptable by those in government in America itself?

Why is it that when people say "freedom isn't free" they are insinuating that the "price" of freedom is giving up freedom. I say, the price of freedom is tolerating insecurity. Sure, some of us may be affected negatively, but weren't all men and women who DIED protecting our freedom tolerating insecurity? It seems to me, the true patriot is the person who is willing to accept some danger for the sake of freedom rather than the person who is willing to forsake our Constitution and Bill of Rights in the hopes of gaining safety.

I feel like this is the case with America's reputation. If we don't help other countries, we get criticized for being selfish, and not caring about the world. If we do help other countries, we get criticized by saying that we only care for the resources in the other country.

So whats the deal. Although countries may be divided, we all share the same planet, so we must help one another.

it might be. Liberals sure love that new block feature. I know of at least a half dozen that have blocked me and other conservatives so far because they do not like our opinions. At first liberals would only gang violate people they disagreed with in hopes of getting the accounts of all opposition suspended. But clearly that did not work to their statisfaction. Now they have a new weapon to silence the minority. Soon there are going to be questions on here like "I have zero proof that Bush committed any crimes, but we should impeach and execute him anyway" and about 45 liberal answers agreeing 100%. As a conservative I enjoy my crazy liberal friends. It is too bad that they cannot see the benefits of debate as I do. I never thought liberals would resort to crushing all alternative opinions until now. Perhaps liberals are right. Maybe we are becoming a fascist society.
