I really don't know how we recover.

Many Americans just abandoned their values - they condoned torture, war against an innocent people, spying on their fellow citizens, and the suppressing of unpopular speech. It's been one of our very ugliest periods in American history, and we seemed to have lost our soul.

An insult? I say, nay, tis far more of an insult when I say to my fellow citizens - hey, did you hear Monica Goodling said she broke the law but didn't mean to, or hey, did you hear Ashcroft is a hero and Gonzales tried to strongarm him into violating the constitution - and they say - oh, i don't follow the news.

What has happened to the glorious America of my childhood? Republicans, yes, but why were our fellow citizens so susceptible to this propaganda? It's been rather distressing, all in all.

it will never be repaired. Its history now and the world and the future will judge us. Do you really think America will change to a benevolent power? Not in my lifetime. But we can complain, vote for the other guy and voice our opinion in the attempt...hopefulness is a virtue.

Probably not as much as the damage done by Bill Clinton to the US military and to the Intelligence community. Along with the damage still done by Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Al Gore and John Kerry (who served in Vietnam).

Why don't you go ask Carter why he stabbed the Shah of Iran in the back and forced him to hand Iran over to that crazy Ayatollah Khomeini thus emboldening all the proponents of an Islamic Caliphate the world over. BTW, your turban is still wrapped to tight around your head

you will never see it restored. it will be, however, forever changed as a result of the attempts to fix the system that has entrenched itself so deeply into the american culture. it is the system, and its skewed position to benefit the few at the expense of the many, that will be addressed after the 2012 presidential election cycle.

It will take awhile. It will mean higher taxes for awhile also. People will complain about that of course, but it is the only way to pay down a 9 trillion dollar debt.

You have nothing better to do than post a bunch of inane idealogical "quesitons" on an internet board? What a loser you are. Please go back to the Micheal Moore message boards and leave us alone.

Do I get 10 points?
