Even is La La land 300 million people could not agree on a topic. Surely you know that. However, you will seldom find one so universally hated as Bush. With good reason.

Never will, no nation has ever had a leader that is loved by all, there are always dissenters, people who just want to be opposite or contrary to the popular leader, just to do so. Most presidents are not overly well received while therein office, it' down the road, when suddenly there admired and given credit for sticking to there ideas. Like Lincoln, much hated even in the north during the civil war, but after he was assassinated, everyone loved the guy. Americans are pretty shallow and impulsive politically when it comes to liking someone they didn't vote for, as if the other candidate is one of the devils spawns, and bent on destroying America. Americans have to stop this demonizing the winning candidate just because there not there person, thats pretty immature thinking wouldn't you say?

Having a president that is loved by all is almost impossible, and that is a good thing too. For if the country as a whole loved the president, we wouldn't be very much like a democracy now would we? It would be a one party system. Secondly, the issues in this country right now require someone to be on the opposing side by their nature and policy initiatives. Thirdly, it is dangerous to have a president that is loved by all, for that is asking for a dictatorship. For that very reason we have term limits on presidents. FDR was probably the most loved president in history while serving almost 4 terms. When a president has too much power, ((being loved too much)) He is able to do whatever he wants because he commands the love of the people, as we certainly do not want that.

I'm quite sure that even George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were disliked by a percentage of the population. But now they are held in the highest regard. A leader's popularity isn't the important thing. His or her trying to take America in a positive direction is of the utmost importance!

The closest to receiving love from all sides of the political spectrum was George Washington.
He was a true national hero and he did not believe in political parties. This does not mean he decisions were accepted by everyone since he became increasingly aligned with the Federalist Party of his chief adviser, Alexander Hamilton.

hardly unlikely; as the old saying goes "you can't please everybody"...our president will always try to choose what's in the nation's best interest which can often times go against popular opinion or belief, but...well, that's why people should vote if they aren't happy with the political party in power.
presidents were made to rule and lead the country and to be the people's representative for world issues; they are not put in office to be some celebrity...their position is important and critical to the people of the US; so if people r looking for someone to like and entertain them they can buy a magazine or watch TV; presidents serve for political purposes, not mediocre public affairs

Because we are divided by the Democratic, Republican, and Independent parties we will never have one person that we all agree on fully. Even without these parties the country is to diverse in its needs from a president and its way of thinking. NO. As nice and gosh darn cheerful as that may be it will never happen. But I guess that's what makes America... America

Of course.
The day when the United States is renamed Shiny Happy Funland and flying pigs drop big fluffy pink marshmallows for all the happy children, that will be the day when the President is loved by all.
In other words; no.

I think its possible that we might find a President that we all or should I say most of us respect.
But I think GratefulDead06 got it right, your hopeful sentiments would be found only in the annals of a fairy story!!

Me thinks the closest we have come in recent years is JFK (God Bless), Jimmy Carter (who, BTW, is still doing things to make this country great) or Ron Regan (anyone who enjoys jellybeans can't be bad).
Loved by all, highly unlikely but me thinks that the above three presidents came very close.

do you mean all of the people all at once, and while he/she is in office. no, that will never happen - no leader has ever experienced this kind of support.
