Yes I get the idea that sometimes the answer is simple but I was thinking more about the well tried answer of "Nuke "em" as a solution to another country not agreeing with you. That sort of thing.

If you're talking about YA, the answer is that this format is best suited to short. simplistic answers. If you're wondering generally why this is, it's because conservative political philosophy is based on black and white simplistic thinking and nearly half of the people in the US and Britain are conservatives.

There are absolutes in the world. Some things are right and some things are wrong. Sometimes the solutions to very complicated problems are breathtakingly simple once the spin is removed. An example is the war on terror. It's a complicated problem, but from America's point of view the answer is simple. Take the war to the islamists over there and keep it away from our country. No fuzzy thinking here.

Because some people just want to get on here and get the points. Others who really care will take the time to think of reasonable and well thought out answers. I try to think my answers thru and to make the point in a short to the point statement because there are many people on here and everyone deserves the space; however, if I feel the need to expand and make it a few paragraphs I have no problem with doing so.

i personally think that people fear analyzing the root of each problem and want such quick and easy solutions they choose the easy way out instead of taking the high ground which may be more difficult and require more work they choose to be laissez-faire. they get lazy and forget their own history and continue the broken record of getting things wrong in life or worse a entire country stained with their pathetically and consistently wrong choices.

Sometimes complicated problems have simple solutions.
Sometimes the person with the problems, is the problem, and does not want to hear that the solution is a change of attitude on their part.
The biggest factor is that other people are not emotionally attached and answer logically. ("Throw your kids out" for us is an easy answer, but "Throw the kids out" for you you is not as easy)

Ask a 'real' question and watch in shock the low number of responses. I suspect most of the 'regulars' at this 'bar' are paid party pundits spewing their respective party lines. RLP is really Rush Limbaugh with a wig.

Because sometimes there is a simple answer and over-analyzing makes it appear more complicated that it actually is.

Because of they way they view the problem. Or they are simply able to put it in such a way as that it would seem interesting.
Or they just want to run up their points.
