Not all liberals I must say have this mentality, but I do find the hardcore far-left liberal has no tolerence for anyone who may disagree with him or her on various issues such pro-life as pro-abortion.

If liberals pride themselves as free thinkers and open-minded...how come they are so closed minded to opinions of others who might disagree with thier philosophies?

Wow...that didn't take very long to get a reaction, save for a couple of well thought out responses, but most responses have been of little surprise to me. Reacting in a typical liberal knee-jerk fashion.

As for those who say that there are extremists in right-wing group, I don't doubt there are quite a few.

So at this point the liberal mouthpieces have defended this assertion with essentially "I'm rubber and you're glue..."
Very nice.

I love their "tolerant" hypocritical actions anytime someone disagrees with something they say. You become accused of Racism, Sexism, Ignorance, Intolerance, Phobic, etc. etc. I also love the "facts" that are presented yet are unverifiable.
Remember kids Liberalism is Communisms little sister!
Emotion has no place in the political arena logic is the only thing a decision should be based on
As far as the far right supporting the death penalty and the war but not abortion it is far more of an evil to support killing an innocent baby while allowing a murderer to live

I think that just like rightwingers liberals think that their views are right and best for the country. I would argue that liberals are more likely to give people who disagree a chance to speak and more likely to see that some rightwing ideas may have some value. But politics is doing what you think is best for everybody and I don't think it's facist to say "I disagree with you, I think my way fo doing things is better, i'm in power so we're going to do things my way."

I disagree with extremists at both ends of the spectrum. And keep in mind that extremists wouldnt be extreme if they were flexible and open minded.
These sorts of arguements can be made of both the left and the right. The question we need to ask is why and what can we do to put moderates back into power.

And to the particular topic: Im not sure Ive heard of any pro-choicers bombing any clinics..... ;)
Just keeping it "real" my man.....

The same can be said of the far right NeoCons - or any group out on the fringe.

Look at some of those whacky so-called christian groups out there - you know, the ones who would kill to stop an abortion but support war and the death penalty - Some folks just don't think right..........

I cannot speak for any particular person, but how did you phrase your question? Was it insulting and talking about baby-killing, as you are probably not going to get a good respone with that kind of approach, and I am pro-life...and a liberal....I know, you're head just exploded.

You mean like the republicans who want to modify the constitution to ban gay marriage? Or the conservatives who question the patriotism of Americans who question our governments war policy in Iraq? Or the republican president who is ignoring even the views of members of his own party with regard to the immigration bill?

Liberals are defenders of free speech and the constitution. Without liberals America would be far less free. On the other hand, its the right wingers whom attempt to silence their opponents and seek to change or ignore the constitution when it does not conform to their narrow views.

You want facist, try ButterBar Bob's
"The Democrats' actions have firmly made up my mind, forevermore, that I will never vote for one, will never support one, will always oppose them.*** They are irresponsible and dangerous,**** as demonstrated by their choosing to gain political power instead of doing what is best for America.*
I do not feel safe in my life, property or life with these neo-Democrats in power. They do not respect the Constitution**

*-You described the Republicans use of Iraq as a political weapon againmst democrats AT THE EXPENSE OF OUR TROOPS LIVES

**Bush desribed the Constitution as 'just a goddamnn peice of paper'

***Blind conformity.Not greatness of thinking

****Terrorism has increasded SEVENFOLD under Bush. WHO is dangerous.

Come out of your right wing coma and stop this bitter reationary thinking that is just as dangerous as Islam.

I read the opinions of the right wing more than I read what other people on the left have to say.

Right Wingers are some of the most closed minded, paranoid, and deluded people I have ever seen, especially the ones that still defend Bush, they're the worst.

Darling, I think you're mistaken: stand in the middle of the room you're in--Cemocrates are on your left and fasists are the wall on your right. That's how this right wing left wing thing works...now look to your left and walk straight un till you make it to hell. If you moved at all, you're there.
