How could he have done a WORSE job than Bush? First off, If Gore had been president he very likely wouldn't have ignored Richard Clarke's repeated warnings re Al Queda and Bin Laden. Secondly, he wouldn't have sat in his soiled drawers reading "My pet goat" for 20 minutes. And last, most importantly, he wouldn't have squandered the support and good will of the WHOLE rest of the world to pursue Bin Laden by starting an irrelevant and illegal war in Iraq.

Will it be a Democrat....... Someone deserves quite a pat on
their back for giving the Iraqi women... freedom
In Iraq under Saddam, women were beheaded, tortured, raped, murdered
Iraqi Women Leaders once slaves, with no rights no respect, say:
We all like Iraq. We all like America. And we don't want them let -- we don't want them to leave us. We need them, because we have open borders, and we don't have army and we don't have trained policemen, so we need them at this time. And we ask them to not leave us, please, at this time, because this is a very, very difficult condition for us. Our children like you, our children want you to stay, and all Iraqi people like your forces.

Thank you very much.

Bush-appointed Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt called Sen. Craig Thomas’s (R-WY) office Thursday afternoon to request a meeting with the late senator. Thomas passed away on Monday after a seven month battle with leukemia. The Washington Post writes, “Needless to say, grief-stricken Thomas staffers were stunned.”

Personally liberals are more like Anti-liberals now. They push for all these changes that squash what our founding fathers planned when they wrote the constitution and the bill of rights.

The Bill of Rights

1-Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

but we can pass laws that make it so you cant talk about your religon in case it may offend somwone who doesn't believe as you. Or god forbid you don't have sopmethjing nice to say about a group of people. I hate lazy, apathetic people enough people start sating that they will get some silly name like slackerists or something and be sued in court for not supporting their right to sponge off the government that my tax dollars go toward.

I wanted to see how both Dems and Repubs, as well as independents feel about him.

I find him amazingly refreshing. A politician that actually speaks in straight talk, no run-around when asked a question about his position on the issue, and has a strong backbone.

Search for him on youtube and listen to the short clips of him speaking on issues such as immigration, he makes the most sense.

When asked his thoughts on the Amnesty Bill in the senate, he replied “Well, no matter how much lipstick you put on this pig, it won’t be winning any beauty contests.”

I strongly believe that he is the best man to lead this country in the troubling times ahead

When I first saw this I couldn't believe I was hearing correctly. Then I remembered that liberals will say anything to serve their purpose of the moment, even if it is exactly the opposite of the stand they took yesterday.

Why or why not?

I think they are useful terms. It's not that a blue state is 90% Democrat and a red state is 90% Republican.

It's the fact that Republicans running in blue states have to run as liberals and Democrats running in red states have to run as conservatives. For example, Rudolph Guiliani. He's a Republican but he's pro-choice, pro-civil unions for gays, and pro-common sense gun control laws. Zell Miller, on the other hand, was a Democratic senator from Georgia. He didn't get elected by running as a liberal. He ran as a conservative. In fact, he spoke in support of Dubya at the 2004 Republican convention.

If theses differences between regions did not exist, you would not see the northeast and west coast vote as a bloc for Democrats and the confederate south and midwest vote for Republicans.

Only a handful of states are swing states.
